*Jack J*

We touched down at the hospital and no quicker did the doors open, I ran out. I heard Jack and Leigh call my name but I ignored them as I ran to the reception desk.

"May I help you?" The lady asked.

"My name is Jack Johnson. I need to find my wife, Mallory Johnson."

"I'm afraid she is on lockdown. We cannot let you into see her."

"Why? Why is she on lockdown?"

"That's classified."

"I'm her husband."

"And I'm under doctor's orders. I'm sorry Mr. Johnson but I cannot let you in."

"I just survived a plane crash with my best friend, was found by my best friend's wife, and I'm in need of seeing mine. Please. Just grant me this one wish." I pleaded. She looked at me with pity.

"Jack?" I heard a small voice behind me. I turned around and saw a little girl in a wheelchair looking up at me.

"You aren't really dead?" She asked me. I looked at the lady and back to the little girl.

"No I'm not."

"Can I have a hug? I love you so much and I was crying yesterday because I thought you were gone." I went over and crouched down by her wheelchair. I scooped the girl up and hugged her.

"What's you name beautiful?" I asked her.

"Mandy." She said with tears coming down her face, her small hands wrapped around my neck.

"How old are you?" I asked.

"10."

"Where are your parents?"

"I don't have any. They are bad people."

"What happened to you?" I pulled back and sat on the floor with her in my lap.

"I tried to kill myself."

"Why?"

"Cause my parents were bad people. I stepped in front of a car."

"That makes me sad. Do you have anyone to care for you?"

"No. I wanted to kill myself many times. But I always told myself that you and Sammy would be disappointed and sad if you knew I had these thoughts."

"I'm really sad. And Sammy would be too. You are really mature for your age." I said pulling a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I know. People tell me that."

"That's something to live for. Your intelligence. And the fact that Sammy and I don't want you to go anywhere. You are too cute to be in heaven. You deserve to be on this earth, the same as anyone else and you deserve to have the best life you could ever have." She started to cry again.

"What is it?"

"I didn't want you and Jack to die. I love you guys too much."

"We are fine. We aren't going anywhere." I leaned forward and kissed her cheek. She gave me a hug and I looked over her shoulder. A huge group of people were crowed around us, watching. Most of the women were in tears.

"Jack Johnson!" I looked at the receptionist lady who was blowing her nose.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Come on. You can see your wife." I looked at Mandy.

"What's wrong with Mallory?" She asked me.

"I don't know sweetie. Thats why I'm here." I picked her up and stood up and put her back in her wheelchair.

"Can you come visit me?" She asked me.

"Sure. What's your room number?"

"221." I wrote it down with a pen on the desk.

"I will. Once I find Mallory." She nodded and I pushed past the group of people to security guards waiting to escort me up. Once we got to the seventh floor marked "Emergancy Care".

"Good luck." One of the security guards told me while opening the door. I heard a scream and I walked in. Mallory was lying on the bed with her hands strapped into cuffs.

"Mal?" I said walking to her. She looked at me and stopped screaming. Her hair was matted and her eyes were bloodshot.

"Who...who are you?"
