The Lost Kids (Book 2)

Chapter 1

*Jack J*
"Come on guys, we are going to miss our flight." I said. Mallory looked a little worried.

"Mal, whats up?" I asked.

"Just thinking about the way we left things with Jordan. It wasn't right. We shouldn't be upset with him cause of what happened with him and Selena."

"It's too late. We will talk to him when we get back."

"Yeah I guess." I looked ahead to see my best friend Jack Gilinsky talking to his wife Leigh. They don't have any kids so they wouldn't understand. I do feel bad but oh well. We reached the gate and they were already boarding. We got in line and presented our tickets except for Mallory. I looked at her.

"I'll catch up. I just need to ask something." I nodded and started to turn away when she pulled me and kissed me.

"Love you Jack."

"Love you too. Hurry ok?" She nodded.

*Mallory*
I waited for a second when the three of them to leave me.

"Are you going Mrs. Johnson?" The attendant asked. I shook my head.

"Why not?" She asked. Tears started to slip down my face.

"I have...to get my chemo. And I can't go." She pulled me aside.

"Have you told your husband?" I shook my head.

"That's why I can't go." She nodded.

"Ok. How about I'll go in and tell them that you had your seat relocated and you can leave ok?" I nodded.

"Thank you."

"It's ok honey. I have you." She gave me a hug and left closing the door behind her. I went to the window and looked out. Tears slipped down as I watched the plane back up and take off. I out my head in my hands and started to sob.
