Circe wasn't sure how she felt about her roommates. The two other girls were complete opposites, and Circe was thankful that they all had separate rooms for some privacy. The blonde girl had locked herself in hers; Sky would call her an unsociable hedgehog if he saw her now, hiding away. The thought made Circe curl her lip, tightening her hair tied back as she straightened her posture.
Wanting to prove Sky wrong was something that fueled Circe.
She slammed her bedroom door shut, making her two roommates glance up. Circe awkwardly smiled, approaching the girls as she dug her hands into the pockets of her Specialists's uniform. Three girls: a Specialist, a Fairy and a mix of both.
"Hello! Pleasure to meet you. I'm Briar, just your usual Specialist. Not that being one is usual, you need specific skills and I'm so grateful to be here and . . ." one of the girls bounced over, shaking Circe's hand. Circe glanced at the other girl, the fairy, who sent her an amused smirk before shrugging. Suddenly, Briar blushed as she stopped talking. "Sorry. I ramble when I'm nervous. Our first lesson is starting soon and I'm wrecked. What if they realise I'm a failure?"
"Hey," Circe spoke up, squeezing Briar's shoulder in reassurance. "It'll be fine. I'm going too."
The fairy, who hadn't introduced herself, turned to look at Circe from where she was sat. "Wait, aren't you a fairy? Sky's sister."
Circe squirmed under her attention. "I am. Or I'm supposed to be one. But my magic's shit so I'm allowed to train with the Specialists too."
"That's not fair." the fairy replied haughtily, sniffing with her nose. "I'm Echo, by the way. Air fairy."
The blonde girl smiled. "Circe. Light fairy. Or, you know, supposed to be."
Echo snorted, and it was Briar's turn to squeeze Circe's shoulder in comfort. "Hey, I'm sure you'll manage to get your powers to work eventually."
