"Thank you for helping me find this damn thing." Mike chuckled, making me laugh. "No problem." I smiled, suddenly remembering I was just in a towel. "I just remembered I was in a towel this whole time." I laughed nervously, making Mike play with the bottom of his shirt awkwardly. I picked up on that, he would fidget a lot when he was nervous or uncomfortable. "Yeah.." He said nervously. "Mike! Have you fucking found the thing yet?" I heard Billie scream up the stairs, "Wait a second Billie! I'll be down with your goddamn tuner in a minute!" Mike yelled back, this made me cap my hand over my mouth, trying not to chuckle at Mike's smartass remark to Billie. "Sounds like the guys are waiting for you." I chuckled, making Mike smile. "Yeah. Thank you again for the help." Mike chuckled. "No problem." I smirked. Mike going back down the stairs as I headed to my room, drying my hair with my hair dryer. I looked in my closet, finding the black shirt with a small design on it. "Green Day" it said on the front of the shirt. Trè had some of them made a few months ago and he gave me one. I smiled at it. I loved supporting the band. I put it on, putting on a pair of black sweatpants and pulling my hair back in a messy bun. I then walked downstairs to the kitchen where Mike was standing. "How the fuck do I keep running into you?" I laughed, Mike looking me up and down. "Oh... I was just in here to get some drinks." Mike chuckled nervously. "Beer? It's not late enough for that yet." I laughed. It was only 7:00. "Maybe so. But who cares?" Mike laughed back, "Wanna come downstairs?" He asked. Pointing towards the basement. "Only if I get a beer." I teased, making him hand me one of the beers in his hand, grabbing another from the fridge. "Let's go." He laughed, I cracked open my beer, walking down to the basement with Mike. "Makayla? Are you drinking?" Trè asked. "Yes I am." I frowned. We had this argument a million times, Trè HATED when I drank even though I was of age. "No. Hell no." He said, walking over to me, attempting to take the beer from my hand. "Trè. I'm a fucking grown ass woman. If You can drink, i sure as hell can." I frowned. "You know I don't like it though." Trè hissed. "Hey man, she's 21. Let her live a little." Billie said, jumping to my defense. This made me smile. Trè rolled his eyes, grabbing his beer from Mike's arms, "You're welcome, asshat." Mike frowned, making Trè smile. "Here ya go." Mike said, handing a beer to Billie before opening his own beer. "Where's your mom been all day?" Mike asked me. "Oh, she's on a business trip with dad so they shouldn't be home for a few days." I laughed. "Interesting." Mike chuckled. Making me raise a brow. "What are you suggesting, Pritchard?" I asked. "You know what. Let's have a fucking party." Mike laughed, making Billie jump up. "Fuck yeah!" Billie smiled, "Trè?" I asked, making him look up from the ground. "Why not? Fuck it." He laughed, making me smile. "We need alcohol. As much as we can get." Trè recommended. "Mike? You up for it? Me and Billie can text some people."
"Yeah, sounds cool man." Mike smiled at my brother. "Here's my keys, take my car." Trè smiled. "You've only had a sip of beer, no harm."
"You wanna come with?" Mike asked me, jingling the keys. "Sure. Let's get going. Lemme grab my wallet first." I smiled, leading Mike out of the basement. "Come on, it's just in my room." I laughed. "Oh, alright." Mike said, following me into my room. Looking around as I grabbed my wallet. "Not very girlish in here." He laughed. "What did you expect? Pink and rainbows?" I chuckled. "Well no. But it's kinda cool in here." Mike complimented. "Much fucking cleaner than Trè's room." Mike chuckled, referencing earlier. I smiled, leading him out of my room as we walked out into the cold air. The door slamming behind us. "God it's fucking cold." I frowned, "I know." Mike chuckled, unlocking Trè's car as we both climbed inside. "I should've brought a jacket." I said, crossing my arms as I shivered. "Here I'll turn on the heat.. until now.. here." Mike said, pulling off his jacket, and handing it to me. "Mike.. you don't have to." I frowned. "I know. But I don't want you to be cold." He smiled. "Thank you..." I said kindly, taking the jacket and putting it on as Mike put the car in drive. Silence overtook the car as I looked over at Mike, admiring his inked, muscular arms as he gripped the steering wheel. "Did anyone ever teach you, that it wasn't polite to stare?" Mike asked, breaking the once fragile silence, this caught me off guard. "What?" I said nervously. "I saw you staring. You alright?" He asked. "Oh.. just looking at your tattoos." I lied. I knew why I was looking at him. "Oh, you like them?" He asked. "Yeah, a lot. I've wanted tattoos for a while. But Trè is so insistent on me not getting one." I frowned. "Oh, he's way too protective. You're a woman, you're not a little girl anymore." Mike frowned. "I know." I sighed. "You've grown to be a very beautiful girl. And Trè needs to understand that you aren't little anymore." Mike continued. This made me blush. "T-thank you, Mike." I felt that same feeling I felt everytime Mike complimented me once again. That burning in my stomach, the feeling like I'm gonna throw up. The nervousness overtaking me. How did this man have so much power over me I found it impossible to handle when he complimented me? "No problem, Wright." He smiled. (Wright is Trè's actual last name.) "You know I have a first name, Right?" I asked, scowling at him. He knew I hated it when he called me by my last name. I was never sure why I didn't like it, I was fine with my name. But I just didn't like when he called me that. "Oh.. you'll be alright." Mike chuckled. Pulling into the liquor stores parking lot. "Let's go, you have your I.D?" Mike asked. "Yup." I laughed. We got out of the car, stepping into the store. We grabbed a basket each and we began to look at the options. "We need some beer..." Mike said, sitting two twelve packs in the basket. "Grab me some Whiskey, please." I asked Mike, pointing towards the Whiskey on the shelf. "You like Whiskey?" He asked. "It's my favourite." I smiled. "Me too." He smirked, adding a large bottle to my basket, "We can fit the bottle of fireball in this basket too." I smiled, grabbing the fireball off the shelf and putting it in my basket. "White claw?" Mike asked me. "That's for little bitches." I laughed. "Fair." He smiled, "We probably need more beer, god knows how many people Trè and Billie will invite." Mike frowned, grabbing another twelve pack and putting it in his basket. "That's 36 beers Mike. I think that's enough. That doesn't count what we have at home." I laughed. "Fair. Let's get some vodka." Mike smiled, grabbing the bottle of vodka off the shelf and placing it in his basket. "Sounds good." I smiled. After grabbing some more alcohol me and Mike made our way to the counter. "May I see your I.D?" The woman asked me, I handed it to her, she scanned it, looking Mike down. This made me angry for some reason. "Is He your boyfriend?" She asked me. "Uh.. no he's not." I frowned. "Why do you ask so?" Mike chimed in. "I think you're very cute. Can I have your number?" She asked Mike. I felt the blood burning inside me. Overwhelming anger. You're fucking kidding me. "Oh, thank you." He smiled. "Yeah. You can." He said as she handed me my I.D back. I grabbed the beer. "I'll be in the car." I snarled, taking the alcohol and walking out of the building. I placed all the alcohol in the back seat before sitting down in the passengers seat. I watched as she flirted with him through the windows of the store. I could tell. She was giving him that cute, innocent little smirk. I soon saw her hand him a piece of paper, blowing him a kiss as he walked out. I began to feel tears in my eyes, why do I care? He's my brothers best friend. I don't want him in that way. I couldn't. I fucking hate this....
