Donna's POV

I decided to go through with it. I was really thinking about it. All the pros and cons. I just decided to go for it. I breathed in slowly. I admit I was nervous. Let's do this.

Wifey <3

Hey Heaths! Do you want to go get some prom dresses?

Yea sure! When do you want to go? I can pick you up if you want. I probably won't get a dress. I ain't a fan of them. Don't get me wrong! They're really beautiful to other people.

Probably today if that's ok with you? Unless you're busy! We can always reschedule it!

No no! It's fine I am free today! I can pick you up in like 1 or 2 hours? We can get lunch before or after if you want. My treat :)

Yeah, that's fine by me! We can get lunch after, reward yourself for putting up with my long search for a dress. There's no way that you are paying for my food! It might take a while. Are you up for the challenge Heather?

I shall take this challenge and do the best that I can. Whatever you want I will get it for you, lunch-wise. You are paying for your dress because that's expensive, I'm sorry, but I don't have that type of money. I better start charging my phone and bring a battery pack. I have a feeling like I am going to be at the mall or wherever we are going for a good couple of hours.

Yea, we are going to the mall. I am going to pay you back Heather for the food whether you like it or not! And of course, I will be paying for my dress! That is mean Heather! I probably won't take that long! I am going to take at most, an hour!

Haha, because that makes me feel better. I will be truly honest about the dresses you choose. I pinkie promise on that.

Wow, thanks. As people say honesty is the best policy.

Just a fyi Donna, nobody says that besides 3rd-grade teachers. Everyone at least lies 2 times a day. Think about it! Even if they are little lies, they're still lying.

Damn Heather. Still, so mean to me! It was something my mom said all the time. She doesn't say it anymore since I'm older.

Interesting. I would love to meet your mom and your family in general. I bet they have great stories, not embarrassing at all. I would guess they would love to tell me all the stories possible! :D

NO! NO! I will not let you meet my family! Trust me they would tell you so many stories! Ugh! There is no way you are ever coming over! Now I am going to watch Netflix. See you in like an hourish Heather!

I put my phone away. I turned on Netflix to catch up on some shows that I am watching. Nerves started to gather at the pit of my stomach. Like good nerves. Butterflies basically. I didn't want to act really stupid in front of Heather.

After around an hour, I got ready. I put on some basic clothes like a hoodie and sweatpants. I decided not to dress fancy because we were shopping for prom dresses. Well, I was. I got back to the couch when I finished watching my show until Heather finally arrived.

A car horn blared numerous times, basically screaming my name. I grabbed my purse and ran out my door.

"I hear you! I hope you realize that!" I screamed as I ran to Heather's car.

"Really? I was almost sure you didn't hear me! I was gonna go get the megaphone from my trunk," she chuckled and started to drive once I got in. The mall was only like a 15-minute walk from my house, but the stuff me and Heather were gonna get we needed a car so the dress and whatever Heather is getting didn't get ruined. Plus Heather lived a good distance away from me so she had to take her car.

"Wait a second. Do you h-have a megaphone in y-your trunk? Why?" I asked between laughs.

"You don't? Wow, that's upsetting. I don't think we can be friends," she tried to keep her laugh in but failed at some small moments.

"Wow, I see how it is now," I looked at the side of her face. I saw a smile appear when I looked at her. A hint of blush rushed up to her cheeks making me do the same thing. She is so cute. I mean what.

After a couple of minutes, we finally got there. On the way, it wasn't silent at all. We talked the whole time and it was amazing. Her voice was so soothing. She made me laugh and smile so much.

"I can't believe I am going to sit for endless hours waiting for you to pick out a stupid dress," she complained.

"Oh shut up! It's not gonna take that long! As I said it's going to take less than an hour and you have to try on stuff too!" I replied.

"You say that, but I think you are just trying to persuade me like it'll be quick so I would come. And yes, I do have to try on stuff as well, but I won't take as long as you will! I don't even know who I am taking to prom anyway. Because there is no way in hell I am going with Reggie," she whined. I knew she was thinking about it because of the look on her face.

After we got to the store I tried some dresses on. I didn't like how most of them fit me. But there was this navy blue one. I tried it on and it fit amazing. So I walked out to show Heather.

"So what do you think?" I asked nervously. She looked up from her phone. Her jaw dropped.

"Wow, I-. I don't know what to say!" she stood up and started walking over to me. "Donna, you look absolutely beautiful. It makes your eyes pop." The whole entire time she said that she got closer to me, still keeping eye contact, occasionally glancing down to my lips. She was right in front of me. She was so perfect.

I bit my lip while looking at hers. Then I went for it. I kissed her. She kissed me back. The kiss was so passionate. We finally broke away slightly out of breath. "Then this one I shall get," I winked at her and went back into the changing room to take off my dress.

Heather got a navy tux that matched my dress. She looked really sexy in the tux. Which was honestly really sweet. Today was great.

We went to go eat at Chili's. They had ok food, I stole a good amount of Heather's fries, like any normal person.

She took me home and before I got out of her car she kissed me. She was truly the best person I could ever ask for.

"Hey, Donna?" I could hear a bit of a stutter in her voice, it was cute.

"Yea?"

"Will you go to prom with me?" her eyes are filled with worry. Ha, like I could turn her down. This was like a dream.

"Of course," I leaned into the car and kissed her lips once more before I headed inside. "See you later then!"

A/N: You might realize the cover is new, and you are correct. Just for Valentine's day. Hope you like it!
