Heather's POV
I was a little nervous about school. Even though Reggie was suspended he had to get some school work from the teachers this morning. I was really hoping I wouldn't run into him.
The only good thing that came out of that night was the part on the roof. It was honestly amazing. The night Donna was cuddling in my arms with my two gay besties and Brett.
Speaking of prom. I feel like I was missing something. Something that had to do with prom. Like I was forgetting a person. Eh, I bet it's nothing. I let the trouble wash away.
When I got into the school I couldn't find any one of my friends, so I just went to my locker. I pulled some books out when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and sighed once I saw him.
"What the fuck do you want Reggie?" I gave him no attention and put some school shit in my bag.
"Please Heather hear me out. I need to talk to you," he practically begged.
"There's nothing to talk about. Yes, you were drunk but that is no excuse Reg! Plus we would've never worked out!" I yelled.
People started to watch me and Reggie fight verbally. Even though they weren't looking at us I knew people were listening in. I would be doing the same thing.
"Wait, what do you mean we would've never worked out? I thought we were perfect together! The new Veronica and Archie!" He looked hurt. But I honestly didn't care.
"Reggie. I'm lesbian. I always have been. Have you not heard that I was Cheryl's ex? I didn't know how safe it was because I remember her mom hated me and Cheryl being together. I wouldn't know how the town would react because everybody knows everybody here. It is a small town," I blabbered out. I was looking at him now, slamming my locker shut. It startled him.
"So technically all you did was use me? I spent money on you! Time on you!" Reggie put his head in his hands.
"Basically. I didn't use you for money because I honestly don't care about it. I did pay for most of our expensive dates so don't even with me. I was going to do it before prom but I haven't had the chance. I am sorry, but I am also not sorry," I summed up. I could tell he was getting mad.
I looked around for the first time at the crowd. There was my group of friends looking concerned for me. They were in the middle of it. Then Cheryl and Toni were to the right of them. Archie, Betty, and Jughead, Veronica being in front of all of them looking at me. They were to the left of my little group of rat friends.
"Who is it? I can tell you were hanging out with someone behind my back or seeing someone. You were acting different but like a good difference. I thought I did something right but I thought about it. We barely talked anymore so I know it wasn't me. I am stupid, but I do have common sense," he explained.
"It's none of your business!" I crossed my arms.
"So you do admit you are seeing someone huh? At least you can do is tell me who is it, Heather?" his fingers were clenched into a fist. He was getting mad. Was he going to react how he did at the party? He was sober though so there was no excuse.
I saw her start to step forward like she wanted to help. In all honesty, I knew she was going to make things worse, but I appreciate the effort. "Shut up Reggie! If she doesn't want to tell you she doesn't have to! Especially after what you did to her," she glared at Reggie.
"Heather, is this her? Is Donna Sweett the girl you've been cheating on me with? Out of all people you decide to choose her!" his face started to get red with rage.
"Maybe. She's honestly amazing. A better person than you can ever be!" I declared.
He turned away from me. I can tell he was embarrassed. Did he just realize how big the crowd was now? He looked at Donna.
"Did you know?" he asked.
"Huh? Know what?" asked Donna, clearly confused as so was I.
"Don't be dumb. Did you know she was dating me?" he ran his hands through his hair.
"Yes, I did. To be all fair you didn't treat her right. She did see you cheat on her, you know that right? And she saw what was on your phone. Don't you dare try to play the innocent card," said Donna stepping forward towards him. "Oooos" were heard from the crowd.
Where were the teachers? I couldn't see any of them in the hallway. I could still hear Donna yelling at Reggie as I was looking around for any adults.
A loud smack ran through the hallways. Then followed by screaming. I looked back. Donna was on the ground. Reggie punched her on the side of her head, right above her ear.
I kneeled down next to her. I held her in my arms. Kevin went to go get the nurse. Fangs went to call the police. Brett kneeled down next to me. His jaw was open ajar in shock.
"Hold her for a second please," I placed Donna in Brett's arms for a moment. I was absolutely raged.
"What the fuck is your problem Reggie?" I fumed. "How come you can't keep yourself under control? Like ever? You're hitting women just like how your dad hits you. It's not fun for you and won't be fun for other people. I can't take it anymore." I looked at Donna in Brett's arms. Rage built up in me.
Then I swung my arm at his face making contact. I never punched anyone so hard in my life. My knuckles were actually bleeding.
Reggie fell to the ground. Blood trickling out of his head. I honestly don't care. He deserved it.
I went back to Donna. Brett easily gave her back to me. Her being in my arms felt like heaven. I never want to let go, knowing she can't get hurt that bad if she was in my arms.
Apparently, I was paying too much attention to Donna because Mr.Weatherbee kept tapping my shoulder.
A/N: I don't know exactly how to spell his name, so don't come at me.
"Heather, don't worry an ambulance is here for Donna. Reggie has been detained. I have to speak with you in my office right now please," he gave me a small smile and started walking to his office.
A paramedic looked at me and gave me a smile. "It's ok. She'll do fine. You can visit her in like an hour. You better talk to your principal and we better get her to the hospital," she reached her arms out for Donna.
I hesitantly gave Donna to her. Donna is unconscious, which worries me.
I saw the paramedic put her on one of those wheelie bed fold things. I don't know what they are called obviously. I watched as she got rolled out the doors to the ambulance.
Then I went into Mr.Weatherbee's office. I was pretty nervous, but in my defense, I was defending myself. What else was I supposed to do? Not punch him in his stupid face.
"Heyyyyyy Mr.Weatherbee! What's popping?" I tried to do something to seem innocent.
"Just don't even Heather. What were you thinking? He could've gotten really hurt!" he raised his voice.
"Wasn't that the point? In my defense, I was defending Donna. I absolutely adore her and I bet you would do that for your wife," I smiled.
He sighs. "I won't tolerate that in my school, I'm giving you one warning."
"Yes! Thanks, bro!" I jumped out of my chair and headed to the hospital.
