Another wave of tears overtook the intrusive side. His head was spinning, his thoughts spiralling, everything seemed too much too much too much!
Janus spoke suddenly, but kept his voice soft as not to startle his friend. "Re? Can you-" He was cut off by Remus promptly disappearing. What? Had the creative side teleported to his room? Janus could tell that Remus was having a panic attack. He was fairly certain what had caused it, too.
The deceitful side was growing increasingly worried. Remus's trajectory could be off in his current state. He could have accidentally teleported to another part of the Imagination. He could have teleported into a lava pit! Oh, gods. Sides could die. They had proof of that. Remus could get himself killed without even realizing it!
No. No way. There was no way that Janus would let both the people he grew up with be taken from him in the same week.

Thomas was growing more and more anxious by the minute. Which was weird, considering... Nope. No. Not gonna finish that thought. He glanced around, but everyone else seemed mostly fine. Well, everyone except-
"Roman?" The creative side's head shot up at the mention of his name, eyes just a little more wide than usual. "Are you alright?"
"Y-Yes, I- um-" After a concerned look from the human in the room he tried again. "No, please- please call Remus..."
The logical side picked up how Roman's eyes were darting around the room, how his breathing was just a little faster than everyone else's. If Roman was asking Thomas to call his twin, that meant that something was happening to the darker twin, and that Roman was feeling it through their link.
Thomas, it seemed, was not doing so well either. His state was similar to that of Roman. The logical side decided to take initiative and call Remus himself.
"REMUS!"
Janus was currently in the middle of the Imagination, shouting the creative side's name and trying not to panic. He totally wasn't failing at the second part. He was completely calm, not even close to having a panic attack himself. He definitely knew that Remus was safe, and that he hadn't gotten himself killed already. And no, he was 100% not getting more and more worried with every thought, he wasn't hyperventilating, and-
And he most certainly wasn't standing in Thomas's apartment right now. He quickly threw on a look of a person who hadn't been about to have an anxiety attack about not being able to find a person close to them. It looked like Thomas was about to say something - please don't mention it please don't please don't please - but he shut his mouth at the last second, turning his head to a space below the television with a concerned expression.
The snakelike one's eyes darted to where Thomas was looking, and he could have given a sob of relief with the sight in front of him. Remus was there, looking calmer than before. Well, he wasn't shaking, hyperventilating, or sobbing, at least. His eyes were still rimmed with wetness, but at least it was better than before. He belatedly noticed there were two people near Remus. Roman looked unsure of what to do, but he was crouched beside the other creative trait nonetheless and had his hand on his brother's shoulder. Patton had pulled the green-clad side into a hug that he didn't seem to be willing to end any time soon. He had a sort of 'mother bear' air around him, he was being more protective of Remus than Janus had ever seen him.
"Janus?" asked a voice from beside him, and oh, Thomas was right there. "Are you alright? I mean, apart from... yeah."
The deceitful trait looked Thomas over. Frankly, he looked like a mess. Janus wasn't doing his job. He was there to ensure that Thomas was taking care of himself (among other things), and he was failing. He wasn't fulfilling his own purpose, which led to Thomas suffering. Gods, he was such a disappointment. This was his purpose! He had to stop wallowing in his own pitiful feelings and be able to take care of Thomas, and help him care for himself! He needed to stop falling short, being so worthless, so-
He paused upon feeling arms wrap around him. He looked through blurry eyes at the person holding him, was he crying? Wow, he couldn't even pretend to hold himself together.
Thomas wrapped his arms around the deceitful trait. He could feel Janus's shoulders shake as he tried not to cry.
"Jan..." he muttered, not sure how to comfort the side but not wanting him to hurt either.
Little note here, I've noticed some stuff on tumblr about the word 'host' being used for Thomas about the sides and how it's incorrect because they aren't a system. I'm not sure if i've ever used that term to describe him, but if i have, i sincerely apologize. I'll try my best to remember to not use that term anymore.
