This ani't IHOP

Rose: " Do you have an IHOP around here?" I asked him as my insides growled around.

Dimitri: I laughed and shook my head.

"We have the next best thing," I told her, driving back into town.

Rose: " I'm happy they fixed the car." I noted as we drove.

" Guardians around here are less friendly though."

Rose: " You're lucky to have me. I am friendly powerful, and some even think I'm attractive."

I noted as I smiled.

Dimitri:

"They'd be right on each account," I said, pulling into a small cafe. I noticed Roses look of distaste and chuckled.

"Don't knock it!" I warned.

Rose: " I'm not knocking it. I'm just saying this looks like no IHOP. " I smirked and got out of the car.

Dimitri:

"I told you, it's the next best thing!" I said, pulling rose into the cafe. I was instantly greeted by Freya.

"Dimka!" She said, putting down the plates and pulling me in for a hug. I grinned and wrapped my arms around her. She glanced beside me and frowned.

"Don't be so rude Dimitri! Introduce me to your friend!" She chastised. I smiled and turned to Rose.

"This is Rose, my new guardian. Rose this is Freya, my half sister," I said gesturing at Freya. Roses mouth fell open and she looked at Freya.

"You're a Dhampir," she said softly. Freya smiled and pulled Rose in for a hug.

"So are you," she teased.

Rose: She hugged me just as his mother did. " You two. Have the same father? " I asked lightly as I stepped back from her and walked on to a table.

" Yes. But Dimitri's mother raised me as her own."

Dimitri: I glanced at Rose and smiled.

"Freya's mother was a guardian," I told her. I turned to face Freya and smiled at her.

"Banana bread," I told her. She scoffed and swatted me over the head.

"Something on the menu," she replied.

Rose: " I'm happy with pancakes " I smiled and handed the menu to Freya.

" That's what you're getting too. Lil brother." She smirked and walked away.

" She's older than you?" I asked. She was tiny compared to Dimitri.

Dimitri: I cleared my throat.

"Only by a few months...like I've told you. My father has a reputation," I said softly.  

"So now you've met Freya it shows you that although guardians aren't always friendly, the dhampirs are," I said grinning cheekily. Freya came back with our food and tapped my hand.

"You've got a code red," she said nodding her head in the direction of the door. I glanced up and groaned. I glanced at Rose and gestured behind her at Tasha. Freya glanced at Rose.

"Just shout if she gives you trouble," she said softly, glaring at Tasha. Freya never did approve of our relationship.

Rose: I moved over, giving Tasha the option of sitting in front of Dimitri.  But instead she went over and got in his lap. " Dimka." She muttered as she rubbed her nose to his. " Where did you go last night?"

Dimitri: I slid Tasha off me as gently as possible and pushed her into the seat beside me.

"I needed to feed," I said, shovelling pancakes into my mouth and giving Rose a please help look.
