Sonic's P.O.V.

After admitting that I knew they were hiding something, their jaws dropped. "Then why didn't you say anything"? Riki asked in shock. "Well, I know first hand how important keeping a secret can be. After all, I had to keep MYSELF a secret that lasted ten years. Thank goodness for Donut Dad helping me defeat Eggman! Otherwise, NONE of us would be where we are now". I explained seriously. "Oh cool, but who's Eggman"? Will asked with the funniest confused look on his face. "That's the nickname of Dr. Ivo Robotnik. It was inspired by that madman's white egg-shaped drones". Shadow replied with an amused look on his face. "Well come with us and we can show you the ropes of you're merperson abilities". Cleo said as she started to leave the shack. We followed after her and the other girls.

A few minutes later, we were at a secluded part of the beach. "Okay guys, follow our lead". Emma said happily right before she, Cleo, Riki, and Bella dived into the ocean. A moment later they resurfaced with orange tails! "Come on guys let's go"! I said excitedly and jumped into the ocean. Marina came right behind me. "Come on Shadow and Silver, don't tell us you're scared". I said playfully as I saw how hesitant they were. "Sorry we're coming"! Silver said as got in the water. "Heh, I'm not scared". Shadow said smugly and dived in.

Then we all took a moment to see each other's tails. "Whoa Sonic you look so handsome with that cool tail". Marina said happily. "Whoa, you look so beautiful Marina". Shadow and Silver said in awe. "Yeah you all look awesome. Now let's see how you swim with these tails". Riki said happily. "Ooh I've been watching a YouTube series called Secret Live Of A Mermaid and I picked up on how to do it so I got this"! Marina said as she started swimming as if she'd been a mermaid her whole life! "Oh, we''ll see about that Marina"! I said competitively as I joined her and I was doing it with ease, almost subconsciously!

Shadow's P.O.V.

When me and Silver realized how easily Sonic and Marina were swimming we hurried to swim too. "Whoa, I don't even know how to describe this amazing feeling"! I said excitedly. "No kidding looks like we got the hang of it". Silver said as he began to laugh. "Whoa you guys are fast learners. Now for the super speed swimming. You can swim as fast as a torpedo"! Riki said excitedly. "Whoa, that's great because on land, I'm the fastest thing alive. So I'm glad I'll technologically still have it in my merhog form"! Sonic said in relief! "Well then follow our lead". Bella said as we all went underwater. Now that we had tails, we could see so clearly under the water! Then we watched as they suddenly dashed off! "Oh yeah wait up for us ladies"! Sonic said, underwater! "Whoa, we can breathe and speak underwater"! I exclaimed in awe. "Cool well, we better get to the others"! Sonic said right before dashing off in the direction the girls went.

Silver's P.O.V.

When we caught up with the girls, I saw we were very far from shore. "Whoa, what are we doing all the way out here"? I asked nervously. "We want to show you something but we need to go to our special mermaid hang out; The Moon Pool. So follow us". Riki said as we began swimming more slowly now. I was happy we were because now I could take in all the beauty of the ocean, corals, and fish around us. "Whoa, this is so beautiful! Don't you think so Sonic"? I said as I marveled at it all. "Yep it sure is. Hey Marina maybe later we can go for a swim together, just the two of us"? Sonic said as he looked at Marina. "I'd love to Sonic"! Marina replied enthusiastically. Which made us all giggle. Then we followed them through an underwater cave, single file. When we got inside, I couldn't believe where we were! "Wait isn't this we were turned into merpeople"? I asked in awe. "Yes, all except for Bella she turned when was nine and lived in Ireland". Cleo replied happily.

Normal P.O.V.

Then Sonic cleared his throat as they all lounged against The Moon Pool's edge. "So what did you want to show us"? Sonic asked excitedly. "Watch this". Cleo said and used her power to form a ball of water that hovered in the air. "Whoa that's so cool"! Sonic said as his eyes went wide with wonder. "Oh just wait, there's more". Emma said and preceded to freeze the ball of water. "Whoa wicked"! Marina said excitedly. "There's more". Riki added as she thawed the ball out of the ice. "Oh I love that power! You use it to dry off faster right"? Silver said as he remembered what Sonic said earlier that morning. "Yep and one more thing, Bella show them what you've got". Riki replied as she gestured to Bella. Then Bella turned the ball of water into jelly. "Wait is that jelly"?! Shadow asked with a raised eyebrow. "Yep pretty cool right"? Bella asked casually. "Totally! But I'm confused on something. Who should and shouldn't we tell about all of this? You see, I promised some friends at home, that I would keep them in the loop about the dream and it's mystery that lead to all of this". Sonic explained seriously. "Well the only ones you need to hide it from that we know of are Annette, and Will's Sister Sophie. She has similarly colored hair as Charlotte, but really short and about three shades lighter. She works at the cafe me and my boyfriend, Zane run together". Riki explained seriously. "Oh so that's why it's called Riki's. And thanks for the heads up. Well we better get back. Donut Dad, Pretzel Mom, and Longclaw are still wondering happened to us last night". Sonic said as the merhogs and Marina got ready to swim again. "We'll help you find your way back". Bella said as they got ready to swim too.
