9. Meeting Sophie & Zane

Sonic's P.O.V.

Then we all decided to hang out at the Cafe for lunch. As we were walking there, I got a text from Donut Dad asking where we were. I sent him the location. As we arrived at Riki's, Donut Dad Longclaw, and Annika walked up to us. "Hey Dad meet our new friends officially". Shadow said excitedly. "Hi Mr. Wachowski I'm Cleo and this is Emma, Riki, and Bella". Cleo said happily. "It's nice to meet you all. But please call me Tom". Donut Dad said happily. "This is our godmother Lonclaw, and our baby sister Annika". I added confidently. Then I saw Annika looking at Silver strangely. "Silver I'd like you to meet Annika. Annika meet our new buddy Silver". I said as I took her in my arms and walked over to Silver. "Awe Hi Annika it's so wonderful to meet you". Silver said sweetly. "Slivy Silvy"! Annika exclaimed as she giggled happily. "Awe she really likes you Sliver. Would you like to hold her"? I said happily. Silver nodded excitedly. Then I handed Annika to Silver as we entered the café.

Sophie's P.O.V.

As I was giving a customer their smoothy, I saw the oddest group of customers enter the café. Amongst them were large animal like beings. I was shocked to see that Lewis and his friends hanging out with them. As well as seeing a human baby in the arms of the whitish grey furred one. I rushed over to Zane in a panic. "Zane look". Was all I could say as I pointed to the group. "Whoa I didn't see this coming. But just stay calm and serve them. They're cool if they know Riki and the gang". Zane said seriously. "Okay got it". I said reluctantly as prepared to take their orders.

Sonic's P.O.V.

We were all looking at the menu when my phone rang. I saw that it was Joey. So I picked up. "Hey Joey what's up"? I asked casually. "Hi Sonic, I was just wondering about the mystery did figure anything out yet"? Joey asked hopefully. "Oh we actually solved it. However, I'll have to call you back. Say about 1:00 your time. So gather our friends and I'll face time with guys". I replied confidently. "Really that's great and we'll be ready for that bye". Joey said right before hanging up. "So what did Joey say"? Marina asked curiously. "Oh just wonder about the Mako mystery". I replied with air quotes. "Ah so when are we going tell them, Tom here, and Maddie"? Marina asked casually. "After this and we're back at Charlotte's house". I explained seriously. "Wait who are you talking about"? Riki asked in confusion. "Oh just our friends back in Green Hills. Joey is the drummer of our band The Blue Angels". I replied happily.

Then from the corner of my eye, I saw a waitress walking up to our table. "Guys that's Sophie so be careful what you say when she's around". Riki whispered to us quickly. We all nodded in understanding. "Hi what can I get you"? Sophie asked as she got ready to write the orders down. Then told them to her. "Alright be right back with them". Sophie said as she walked away. "Awe look Annika's playing with my chest fur". Silver said excitedly. "Hehe yeah she loves to do that. She thinks of us not only as family, but as very soft cuddle buddies". I said as we watched Annika continue to play with Silver's chest fur. "So how old is she"? Emma asked casually. "She's 6 months old. She's a fast learner too. Like her first words we mine and Shadow's names at one month". I replied happily.

Shadow's P.O.V.

Then I noticed Annika form a frown on her face. "Shady! Hungry"! Annika cried, so I took her in my arms. "Dad you brought the bottle with you right"? I asked quickly. "Yep here you go". Dad said as he handed me Annika's bottle. Then I proceeded to feed her. "There you go little sis. That's better huh"? I said lovingly as she drank the milk. Once she was finished I burped her and she fell asleep. "Oh it look like it's time form Annika's nap". I said quietly.

Sophie's P.O.V.

As I was bringing their orders, I saw the black and red one with the baby sleeping in it's arms. "Chaos Control"! He said and then disappear in a flash of light! "Huh where did they go"?! I asked as I gave them their lunch. "Oh Shadow went to put Annika for her nap. Oh by the I'm Sonic and this is Silver and Marina". Sonic explained reassuringly. "It's nice to meet you". I said right before Shadow reappeared in his seat. "Whoa how did you that"? I asked in fascination. "It's one of the many powers I was given when I was created by a brilliant professor". Shadow replied happily. "I would love to talk more but I have to get back to work". I said as I left them to eat.

Zane's P.O.V.

Once Sophie finished serving the odd customers, I walked up to Riki. "Oh hey Zane meet some new friends. Sonic, Shadow, Silver and Marina". Riki explained as she saw me coming over. "Hey Zane it's nice to finally meet you". Sonic said excitedly. "Hi guys and why's that"? I asked casually. "Oh just that Riki made you sound interesting". Sonic said happily. "That's cool. Riki mind if we talk in the office"? I asked quickly. "Sure Zane. Be right back guys". Riki said as she got up. Then we went into the office. "Okay is there something about them you need to tell me in private? Whatever it is I'll keep it a secret". I said curiously. "Actually yes. They got merperson powers now. Yesterday was a full moon and Lewis took them to Mako to figure out why it was calling to them. On the way to the moon pool, they met Silver. It was like destiny itself wanted them to become mermaids/merhogs. We showed them the ropes this morning. They're pretty fast learners". Riki told me eagerly. "Whoa that's amazing". I said excitedly as we left the office.

We had finished lunch and decided to head back to Charlotte's house. Cleo and the girls had to go home. "So what time does Annette get back because she know about what we're going to show you". I asked seriously. "She'll be back around 2:00. So not to worry Sonic we have plenty of time". Donut Dad replied reassuringly. "Alright follow us to the pool". I said when we got to Charlotte's house. Once we were in the backyard, I took out my phone and set up the face time call. "So Donut Dad can you hold the phone for me"? I asked sheepishly. "Sure thing buddy". Donut Dad replied as he took my phone. "Hey guys long time no see". I said once we saw our friends appear on screen. "Hey Sonic, um who is that with you guys? Is..Is that another hedgehog"?! Joey said excitedly. "Yep Hi my name is Silver. I've been living and staying hidden on Earth for the last nine years". Silver said happily. "Whoa it's nice to meet you. I'm Joey and they are Crystal and Jessica". Joey said casually. "It's nice to meet you too"! Silver said in return. "Well you guys ready to see what that dream lead to, or what"? I asked excitedly. "Yes we definitely are"! Jessica replied reassuringly. Then we jumped into the pool simultaneously.

When the four resurfaced, they had their tails for Tom and The Blue Angels to see. "Whoa that island gave you tails! So cool". Crystal said excitedly. "Oh that's why you couldn't tell us casually. Don't worry guys my lips are sealed". Tom said in stunned awe. "Same goes for me guys. But what about Maddie"? Longclaw asked carefully. "Humm I know the perfect way to break the news to her". Sonic said as they swam for a while.
