The Meeting At the Café

Karan went home after finding out everything. He felt happy and relieved that Preeta was alive and healthy, but he felt disappointed because he knew about Preeta but could not bring her home nor tell anyone about it. He missed Preeta so badly and it hurt him to be away from her. He knew Preeta was safe with Sonia but for some reason he felt like Sonia was hiding something from him. Well whatever it is , he would find out the next day. He went to sleep having mixed feelings about what was going to happen the next day.

The next day.
Karan woke up very early, he quickly brushed his teeth, freshened up and went to his closet. He took some designer clothes and sneakers precisely Gucci. If there was one thing Karan was famous for, it had to be his great sense of fashion. He always knew what to combine in order to achieve a signature look,' the Karan Luthra' look. He applied some expensive perfume . Karan made sure every look had the colour white since it was Preeta's favourite colour.
He quickly went downstairs in an attempt to sneak away without  notice from anyone. But he stopped in his tracks when he heard footsteps, he quickly ran outside before the person caught up on him. Rakhi smiled seeing his antics, because she knew what her son was up to. She did not want Karan to find out she knows and thus blaming Akshara for being a snitch. She thought that the secrets Akshara and Karan shared made their relationship cute. She just hoped that Karan would succeed in bringing Preeta back and setting everything right.

Sonia managed to sneak out of the apartment without Preeta's notice or so she thought. Preeta had already seen Sonia sneaking away and thought that she was going on a date and did not want to bother her.

The two met at the café and were the only ones there since it was so early.

Sonia : hi Karan.

Karan: hi Sonia.

Sonia: so where should I start.

Karan: from everything , the very beginning.

Flashback
Sonia used to live in Austin as a hotel manager for a very prestigious and luxurious hotel. She was being paid very well for her job and was happy. One day, after work, she received a call from India. It was from her sister, who had gone to India for some work. She was shocked by the things her sister was saying. Her sister seemed very scared for her life. She immediately booked the next flight to India. When she met her sister, she was horrified with her sister's condition. She took her to a hotel and asked her what happened. She was in shock and traumatized. It was revealed that Sonia's sister was Deepika. Deepika told her everything about Mahira and all her evil deeds, including Preeta's condition . Sonia was shocked as to how wicked Mahira could be. After Preeta had that accident,  Deepika was caught by Mahira ,she was tortured even worse than an animal. Mahira brutally assaulted her and made her a living corpse. This caused Deepika to lose her confidence and strength. Deepika begged Sonia to save Preeta from Mahira at any cost. Sonia promised to help Preeta and punish Mahira for all her sins. She sent Deepika to a rehab since she had become like a child.

Sonia went to the hospital and saw Shiv there. She convinced Shiv to take Preeta out of Mumbai to a different city far away from Mumbai. She trusted Shiv and thought Shiv would protect Preeta from Mahira and unite her with her family . But she was shocked when Shiv did the opposite. He did not unite Preeta with the Luthras. Instead he became possessive and made Preeta miserable. So Sonia became Preeta's PA in order to protect her.
