Finally, we arrived at the platform near Hogwarts. Grabbing our belongings, we got off the train. I watched as Hermione, Ron and Harry went to greet Hagrid like always, but I decided not to follow. Instead, I went to look for Draco. I had to be careful, I knew that my house, Slytherin would go mad if they found out I was friends with Harry and the others, but I was willing to put my friendship with them at risk, rather than let Voldemort kill Harry. I needed to do everything I could to save him, I knew what power I held, but I was willing to make the choice between what was right, and what was wrong. In the distance, I saw Draco walk passed. I started to run towards him, pushing passed as many people as possible. "Draco!" I shouted.
He stopped in his tracks and turned to face me. "Y/n!"
I ran over to him and hugged him tightly. "Are you okay, Draco?"
As he pulled away from the hug, he remained silent. He clasped onto my hand and pulled me away from his friends. "There's talk of another meeting," he said. "I heard mum trying to talk dad out of it, and it started an argument. Mum also brought you up. She really misses you, y/n. But anyways, after a lot of shouting, mum just walked off into another room, crying, and dad didn't care. He just stormed upstairs, and I had to run and hide."
"Well did you hear anything from the conversation?"
He shook his head. "They might've been loud, but it's surprisingly hard to listen to dad and mum when they argue."
I nodded. "Okay, that's fine. Listen, people are going to suspect something if they see us, so I'll talk to you later, when everyone is asleep in the Common Room, around midnight."
He agreed, before turning to walk off to his friends. I jumped when I heard someone else shouting my name. "Y/n! Y/n!" It was Hermione again.
I was a few years older than them, probably in Fred and George's year, but I didn't see the twins often. They used to play pranks on me, first year, but second year I put veritaserum in their drinks, and George said that he liked Angelina. I always thought she liked him back, but it turns out she likes Fred. It was so funny, they didn't talk to me for weeks. But then we just lost contact. I kind of thought we would be good friends, but I guess they were probably wary as I am a Slytherin.
"Yes, Mione?" I responded.
"You need to come with us," she spoke.
"Us?"
"Me, Ron and Harry. Quickly!" She dragged my arm and hurried to Ron and Harry.
"Y/n, you are here," Harry smiled. "Hagrid accidentally slipped up when talking to us about you. He mentioned something he wasn't supposed to talk about. To do with Dumbledore as well."
I looked at them all, confused.
"Just come with us to find Dumbledore," Ron insisted.
"Wait, what did he say about me?" I asked.
"You might get put in Gryffindor!" Hermione grinned.
She was really happy about it, but an overwhelming sickness came over me. I know I'd left home for good, but if my father found out, he would find a way to yell at me, either through Draco or a letter.
"Take me to Dumbledore," I pleaded. "Please."
I followed them into Hogwarts, and we crept passed Filch. He was roaming the corridors with his cat, and it was honestly creepy that he took the cat everywhere. They lead me to the tower where Dumbledore's study was. Coincidentally, Dumbledore opened the spiralling staircase. I stared at the Phoenix in the centre, in utter shock, before I raced up the stairs. "Professor Dumbledore! Professor Dumbledore!" I yelled at the top of my voice as I entered his study.
"Why hello Miss Malfoy. Pleasure to see you. Can I help you?" He politely asked.
Before I could say anything, Hermione, Ron and Harry burst through the doors to his study.
"Ah, Mr Potter, Mr Weasley and Miss Granger," he greeted. "Is there a problem?"
"We know about Y/n possibly being changed to Gryffindor," Harry remarked.
Dumbledore's face froze. "How?"
"Hagrid accidentally said it," Hermione finished.
I nodded in agreement.
"Y/n, I'm afraid to tell you it's true." Dumbledore looked at me.
"But why?"
"It's come to my attention that you wanted to be in Gryffindor. But the Sorting Hat, mistakenly, chose Slytherin so you could be like your father, which I assume you didn't ever want. So why did you want to be in Gryffindor, Y/n?"
I thought for a moment. "Because, I knew that Gryffindor doesn't get teased by other houses, aside from Slytherin. And I didn't want people to think I was bad," I explained, scratching my Dark Mark. It was hidden under my cloak, I couldn't even imagine how many looks I would get from people if they found out.
"We are planning to move you tomorrow. I understand this is your fourth year, but we know it's best for you."
I smiled, and noticed the others smiling as well. As we walked out of the study, me and Hermione shared a massive grin. "This is great!" She said.
"Yeah! The only problem is I'll struggle to get information of Draco," I responded.
Her smile faded, along with Harry and Ron's.
"Don't worry," I started. "I'll find a way."
It was starting to get dark, so I decided to head back to the Common Room. I was supposed to meet Draco in an hour and a half. And I needed to get passed Filch and McGonagall. Suddenly, I heard footsteps. I froze for a split second, but then snapped back to reality. I pulled my wand out. "Lumos," I whispered.
My wand lit up brightly, and I held it up. I watched as Snape wandered over towards me. "Miss Malfoy," he said, grabbing my shoulder. I shrugged him off and moved back. "What are you doing out of your dorm?"
"I went to..." I began.
"To what?" He interrupted.
I couldn't tell him about me being moved, not yet. He would tell Lucius straight away. And I couldn't tell him I was with Dumbledore and the other three. I decided not to say anything.
"That's what I thought," he grunted.
He flicked his cloak around and walked away.
"Nox," I whispered. The light at the end of my wand flickered off. I ran through the corridors and up the stairs. I found Draco already in the Common Room as soon as I arrived. He turned to look at me, his eyes red and bloodshot.
