"Well done," Voldemort spoke.
"No!" I shouted at him. "You are all a mess, so evil and mistaken. How dare you stand there after killing one of my closest friend. You make me sick. Why would I ever join you? One of your precious little Death Eaters killed the one and only love of my life! I would never join you."
Voldemort pointed his wand at me. "Avada-." he began.
My life flashed before my eyes as I stood there about to be killed. I was going to be with Fred, it would be okay.
He paused.
All of a sudden, Harry leapt out of Hagrid's arms. A massive smile brushed across my face as I turned to look at George. Harry shot a fire spell at the snake, which travelled across it and hit a group of people behind. Hissing, Nagini backed away beside Voldemort. I looked behind and noticed George say something.
"Fre-.." he quickly stopped. An overwhelming sense of suffering pervaded me.
"It's okay, George," I smiled.
As Harry ran through the corridor at the side of the courtyard, Voldemort chased after him, his black cloak waving behind him. More spells were shot at Harry, but he quickly dodged them as if he were a professional. Voldemort shouted muffled words that didn't really make sense in anger, turning to see many Death Eaters turn into a deep black smog and escape the battle. A massive explosion licked the side of the wall, chasing Harry and destroying the side. I noticed Lucius look around in fear. Harry began to run across the fallen bricks on the ground towards the entrance, where we were stood. George and I began to run inside to carry on fighting. I spotted Hermione beside Ron at the entrance, waiting for Harry. He came darting over towards them, and I heard him say something. "I'll lure him into the castle," he spoke. "We have to kill the snake."
We watched carefully from behind as Voldemort came running over, furiously. Instantaneously, Neville ran out with the Sword of Godric Gryffindor. He was going for the snake. I grabbed hold of George is arm in panic, and felt him rub my back supportively.
"Neville! No!" Voldemort roared, deflecting a spell shot at him and blasting Neville back into the castle. He suddenly apparated with Nagini. I presumed he was trying to catch Harry. I hadn't a clue where Harry had gone, but we were relying on him to kill Voldemort. As soon as possible, I grabbed George's arm and we ran towards Ginny and Molly. Bellatrix fired a spell at Ginny, which she diverted away from herself. She tried to fire a quick spell back but missed. Bellatrix had the high ground, being stood on the table, until Molly clambered up and pointed her wand at her, feistily. "Not my daughter you bitch!" She called to Bellatrix, making her laugh. Molly shot a spell at her, which she dodged multiple times, until Molly froze her body, making it shrivel up tightly. She fired a bright green spell which destroyed Bellatrix instantly, making her grin proudly. Around us, there was several colourful spells being fired around, some from Death Eaters, some from us.
"Behind you, Georgie!" I shouted, making George jump to the side and turn around instantly. "Stupefy!"
The Death Eater behind George flew backwards. "Thanks, y/n," he gratefully replied.
I smiled. "Hey look!" I pointed to Neville.
He sat up, hazily, and looked around. I spotted him look at something Shiny and glistening beside him. Carefully, I dodged past several people, George behind me. "Neville!" I shouted, running through the room. "Grab the sword and kill the snake!"
He turned to look at me, then snapped back and got to his feet, grabbing the sword. We ran after him, chasing him outside. Hermione and Ron were attempting to outrun Nagini, but she chased them until they slipped onto rocks. Ron shielded Hermione, romantically, and hugged her tightly as the snake went to bite them. "No," I whispered to myself, George holding me back so the snake couldn't hurt me. Heroically, Neville lodged the sword above his head and sliced the neck of the snake. As a thick dark smoke, of black and white spiralled out of it, it formed faces that looked similar to Voldemort. I hurried over to Hermione and Ron, along with George, and we raced outside and stood in the doorway of the school. Harry fired his signature spell, Expecto Patronum, as Voldemort shouted 'Avada Kedavra'. A red light transpired out of Harry's wand, whereas a green light broke from Voldemort's. The two separate colours met in the middle, fighting, whilst both of them struggled to overpower the other. Until, the red line travelled closer to Voldemort. A look of terror crossed his face as the Elder Wand flew across the courtyard into Harry's hand. Instantly, Voldemort collapsed to his knees. His skin started to flake and peel off, making him ultimately disappear very slowly. He attempted to scream, but it was silenced. Suddenly, more black flakes flew off of him into the sky. He finally evaporated into nothingness. George, Hermione, Ron, Neville and I cheered and I jumped at George and hugged him.
"We did it, Freddie," I whispered. I knew I wasn't hugging Fred, but I grieved him so much.
George started to sob. "We did it, love."
My eyes began to water; Fred always called me 'love' or 'darling' but now it was impossible. He wanted me to stay at the Burrow, and I still would as I had nowhere else to go and Molly accepted me there, but he wanted me to help out at Weasley Wizard Wheezes. I knew George would need help. Once I let go of George, I hurried towards Harry with Hermione and Ron.
"You did it!" I cheered.
"No, we did it," Harry corrected me.
He hugged me, Hermione and Ron, before letting go. The three of the, began to walk across the bridge together, and I left them to it.
"Let's go home, y/n," George spoke quietly.
"Home?" I asked, knowing Draco and my parents had ultimately left me here after I said I wouldn't help them, but that didn't really bother me.
"You can live at the Burrow if you wish to," he smiled.
"Really?"
"Yes, mum said you can."
We hugged again, before going to find Molly, Arthur and the other Weasleys.
