you have a strict catholic mother who works A LOT , who thinks you should focus on your studies. no parties. no drinking. no sex before marriage . no drugs. no swearing. and especially no boys. especially since you are an only child , so it's always been you and your mother. you followed the rules well.... until you met vinnie hacker.
you are very close friends who have a crush on each other, but neither of you have pursued it because he knows about your strict mother.
friday night at your house , your mum is at work.
you and vinnie were laying in your bed watching RuPauls drag race (a/n i'm watching it rn , pls tell me your favourites from the new season). vinnie turns to me and looks me in the eyes.
"you're so pretty, you know"
"you're cute too , but vinnie i've told you this my mother would never allow it"
"who said your mother would ever find out..."
"ugh ,i hate this so much" i say sighing
"me too, but we could work out..."
"i'm listening" i smile turning to face him
"okay. your mum works a lot so she'd be too busy to even realise, and my mum will keep us a secret i'll talk to her, and if we ever need to we can stay at my house."
"hmm vinnie i'm not sure... okay give me time to think about it"
"i'll wait for you" he kisses my cheek.
saturday night, your mum works a half day so she's home from 4pm onwards.
"y/n! come to the kitchen!" she shouts
"coming" i say making my way downstairs "yes mum? i question wondering what she wants me for"
"i feel like i never get to see or talk to you" she says running her fingers through my hair.
"i know mum, i miss you so much"
"how are you doing hmm? how's school?"
"it's fine" i hummed
"i hope you aren't running around with boys" her tone becomes slightly serious but still playful.
"no mum" i roll my eyes smiling
"let's go watch a movie hmm?"
"i'll make the popcorn" i smiled
we watched a movie and hung out for the rest of the evening, i was still thinking about vinnie, i couldn't do that to my mum it'd break her heart... but vinnie is right it's hurt her less if she didn't know.
monday night at my house
"okay vin i've thought about it, and i don't think it's a bad idea , but we have to be super careful"
"yes i'll be careful, but can i finally kiss you now?"
"mhm" i him and he leans in to kiss me, we share a long intimate kiss and i feel an immediate spark between us it's almost unreal.
we both pull away slightly out of breath.
"i've been wanting to do that for a while" he smiles
"me too" i giggle

2 months later me and vinnie are still dating, my mother has had her suspicions but she hasn't pursued them. yet...
it's a thursday night, around 1am, and i can't sleep, my mum is home but she's fast asleep and she's quite a deep sleeper, my room is quite far from hers as there is a guest room and bathroom in between us. i've been trying to sleep for the last 3 hours, but it's hopeless...
maybe i should just text vinnie to come over, i mean it's not the first time he's stayed the night while my mums been home
