Chapter Seventeen

Cyrus's POV...

When I reached the Black resident,I hesitated before knocking. I waited a few minutes before Mrs. Black opened the door.

"Afternoon Mrs. Black. The last time I was here,it didn't go so well and for that I apologise. My name is Cyrus,I've came to talk to Rider and Mr. Black"that last part I spat out and I can promise I will never say it again.

I hate calling Mr. Black. There's nothing Mister about him.

"Uhh,that's fine dear. My name is Layla so please call me Layla. Come in, Rider's room is downstairs. He enjoys having the whole basement for himself"she said smiling.

I thanked her and made my way downstairs. I didn't bother knocking and I just walked in.

"Get up second place"I said pulling his blanket off of him.
"Dude!!!! Cover your ass!"I said turning around.

He sleeps naked. I shouldn't be surprised but I guess I was.

"Oh come on Cyrus. Stop acting like you never wanted to do me"he said.

I could feel him smirking behind me.

"I never wanted to do me. You make me nauseous"I said.
"When you done,get your ass up to your father's study. I'm going to say hi to Izzie"I said walking to the living room where I saw Izzie.

Rider's POV...

After racking my brain about what happened yesterday,I decided that I was going to follow her to see if she was going to meet my father.

"Morning Mom"I said walking into the kitchen.
"Morning Rider. I made waffles for breakfast. Go take a seat next to your father"Mom said.

I found it very odd that his staying with us. I mean they are divorced so why is he staying here.

"Can I just ask a question please"I said.
"Sure thing kiddo"Dad said.
"Why the fuck you staying here? You disappeared for the past 7 years. Not only that,you don't call nor text and yet you know Cyrus Rose. How do you know her?"I asked him.
"Rider it's complicated as to why your father is staying here but I agree that it's weird that he knows that girl so I to would like to know why as well"Mom said raising a brow.

All Dad did was pat my shoulder and drink his coffee further. He didn't bother looking at either of us. When he was done,he said goodbye to Mom and raffled my hair. Wonder where his going.

"Goodbye Mom,I'll see you later"I said kissing her on the cheek and rushing after him.

I made my to the street that Cyrus lives in and waited until she came driving down. I followed her. She first drove to a gym. She pushed the front door but it was locked,she went around back and I followed her.
She opened the door with a spare key and locked the door behind her.

I checked if there was any windows that I could peep through but every window seemed to be blacked out. I couldn't hear nor see shit as to what was going on inside.

I went to Dunkin Doughnuts across the street and waited until she came out. A good hour and 52 minutes past before she came out. She didn't have her jacket on this time, instead she had a bright yellow crop top on. I'm surprised to see that she own any other colour except black and white.

I made my way to my car by ducking behind people or cars. I climbed in and I waited until she drove away before following her. She then stopped at McDonald's. I waited outside,I could see everything she was doing. She was mostly on her phone.

She finally made her way out and went to her car. She climbed in and adjusted her rear view mirror,I saw that she was searching for something. When she stopped searching, she had lip gloss. She then applied it to her perfectly round,ju- what the fuck am I thinking? She's enemy number one and I'm sitting here and thinking about how juicy and perfect her lips are which they are.

I snapped out of my trance when I heard her engine purr. I followed her all the way into the forest. That's kinda weird though,what is so interesting about the forest. I was so distracted by the fact that she drove into the forest,that I didn't notice her disappear.

"Why the fuck are you following me?!!"Cyrus shouted which snapped me out of my trance once again.

She was holding a shot gun and not only that she reloaded it. I carefully stepped out of my car with my hands in the air.

"Please put the gun down"I said.
"First tell me why you following me"she said.
"I wanted to see if you would meet with my father. How do y'all know each?"I asked.

I was literally trying my luck right now. She could kill me right here and nobody would see it let alone hear it. We are basically in the middle of nowhere.

"Thats none of your fucking business. Go ask you father that crap. I highly doubt he will tell you anything though"Cyrus said.
"Bu-"
"No buts. Get in your car and leave the way you came. Don't think of trying to follow me again because it won't work"she said.

I slowly back up until I was close to the handle of the door. I opened the door with one hand still up and climbed in. I looked at her for a few minutes before starting the car and driving away.

That was very intense. They are definitely hiding something but I'm to tired to find out now. I drove home and decided to go back to sleep. I walked in without letting anyone know about my presence and made my way down to the basement.

I chose the basement to be my room as it's huge. Here's enough space for everything I have and more. I stripped until I was butt naked and I crashed onto my bed rendering me unconscious.
