CHAPTER 15: Adopted

Camilla Cortes' POV:

We arrived in Germany a day ago. We left straight from the airport to one of Luke's hotel in the city. On the drive over Luke confessed that he didn't really have any meetings to attend here at first and he only said it out of jealousy. I mean I'm not really surprised since I'm the one who organizes his schedule and sets his appointments. But I've never been to Germany and I wasn't about to miss a free trip out of the country. The fact that it was Germany was just a bonus.

Luke left about an hour ago to attend the only meeting he had on this trip. I offered to go with him but he said I should stay in the suite and relax. I headed for the bathroom, put some Arianna on and decided to take a bath. I turned down the volume so I could still hear any movement around me and turned the pipe on. I got some of thee scented candles I had asked the hotel staff for and lit them in the room. Stripping down I put my hair in a bun and slid into the tub.

The hot water against my skin felt heavenly. I could honestly stay in here forever. Closing my eyes I hummed softly to the sound of the music and closed my eyes.

I almost jumped when I felt a pair of lips on my forehead. I quickly opened my eyes and saw Luke smiling softly at me. I smiled back and stretched a little.

"Did you have a good sleep?"

I sat up shocked, "I hadn't even realised that I fell asleep"

He frowned at that, "you need to be more careful Camilla"

The way he said my name all husky like sent a shiver down my spine. My nipples hardened as a result and I could see him gulp when his eyes drifted down to them. I couldn't help it, really I couldn't the way he looked at me was way too intoxicating. I could bet my eyes reflected the same look that was in his, raw desire.

He cleared his throat and looked away from me or more specifically my body, "I n-need you to get dressed and ready to go out in 30 mins"

"Why?" my lips formed a full on pout when he refused to look at me.

"We're going to explore the city," He ran a hand through his hair as he spoke.

"Are you going to look at me?" I questioned him slightly amused by his behaviour.

He turned and opened the door without looking at me, "if I did that we'd nearly leave this room"

My cheeks turned red at his statement. I decided to not have him wait longer than is necessary and started to get myself ready. I took a quick shower. Slipped on some lingerie, a white top with my leather jacket and some black jeans. Since we would be walking a lot I decided to wear my white converse to complete my outfit. I slipped on the bracelet that my parents gave me and let my hair down from its messy bun.

Grabbing my purse I went to find Luke to let him know that I was ready to go. I found him in the dining area talking on his phone and I'm not at all embarrassed to say that he caught me staring at him. He looked super sexy in his black leather jacket, black jeans and shirt with a black beanie. Black was definitely his color. It's the first time I've really seen him in anything other than a suit or naked and I'm loving this look. He really looks like an Adonis.

I practically melted in a puddle when he winked at me. After he finished his call he stuffed his phone in his pocket and gave me his full attention.

With a short kiss he asked, "you ready to go?"

I nodded excited to finally see the sights. He held my hand the entire time only letting go to point out specific buildings. Halfway through our exploring my tummy rumbled just loud enough that Luke heard.

"Seems like someone's hungry," he chuckled kissing me on the cheek.

"We haven't eaten lunch yet," I mumbled sadly in need of some food.

"Let's get you some food,"he led me towards a cafe where they provided outside seating which I was grateful for.

A waitress came over to us not even five seconds after we sat down. She had platinum blonde hair that was at the top of her head in a messy bun and dark blue eyes. She was around my height and overall beautiful. She smiled at Luke before smiling at me as well.

"Hi my name is Cassie and I will be your server for today, what can I get for you both?"

"I'll take the #2 with extra fries," Luke spoke glancing at me.

"Okay Sir and you Miss what would you like?"

"I'll have the same as him and I'd like your number as well"

"E-excuse me?" she asked just as Luke said "What?"

"I'm not from here and you're the first girl I've seen here who hasn't been gawking at my boyfriend. I like you"

"Umm thanks," Cassie muttered unsure of what to say.

I smiled at that, "I think we'll be great friends hence why I need your number"

"Oh okay," she mumbled scribbling on her notepad before handing a sheet of paper to me.

"Thanks Cass," I grinned taking the paper from her. She laughed as she shook her head and walked away to place our order. I stuffed the page into my purse and looked up to find Luke grinning at me.

"You are something else," he laughed softly.

We started talking about anything and everything as we waited for our food to be ready. He even told me about his parents and their love story. I found it very interesting. I couldn't help but fidget with my bracelet as he spoke.

"What about you?" he asked briefly looking at the bracelet I was playing with.

"What about me?" I asked confused.

"What about your parents?"

"I don't know"

He looked confused and I sighed, "I was adopted when I was born and my adopted parents died when I was fourteen, I moved around in foster homes until I was eighteen"

I didn't need any pity or any sympathetic look and I was grateful when he offered none of that. He nodded his head in understanding and promptly changed the topic. I smiled grateful for the change. Cassie chose then to arrive with our food and I couldn't have been more happy to dig in.

I love food.
