Luke Williams' POV:
I set my pen down and ran a hand down my face. It was a long day at the office and it was even longer with all these interviews I had to do. I don't know what these women think would happen by then wearing short skirts and tight tops but I need a good personal assistant and their resumes are not what I need.
I turned to face the glass wall I had in my office. It allowed me a great view of the city and I loved it. It calmed me and I really need some calm right now. I grabbed the final file that had the information for the final candidate of the day. Camilla Cortes, that was her name. She had a rather impressive resume, studied at Yale and worked at a law firm for a while. Hailey had already gone to get her so I just had to wait.
While her resume impressed me her personality would determine whether or not I hired her. I didn't need someone like Alice. She was my personal assistant for a while until we hooked up and it went downhill from there.
I heard the door open before I heard Hailey speak, "Luke dear, Miss Cortes is here"
"Send her in," I spoke.
I heard the door close and heels clinking against the floor as she walked towards my desk.
"You may sit"
I could hear her mumble a thank you in reply and her voice sounding exquisite to my ears. I sat still for about two minutes before I finally decided to look at her. She was stunning. I couldn't tear my gaze away from her. Her outfit fit her perfectly. She looked breathtaking with her dark hair and brown eyes. It took me a whole second to realize that she was checking me out also.
"Like what you see?" I asked with a smirk on my face.
She looked stunned at my question before a smirk settled on her face, "I'm just surprised that your not a lot older"
I couldn't help but be surprised by what she said. She has a feisty attitude which was really attractive. I liked her. I liked her a lot. I hired her on spot. She was confused by me hiring her which I found very endearing. She'd get the run down from Hailey so I told her she could leave. It was a real struggle to not run after her as I watched her hips sway.
After I finished up some work I called my brother who kept raving about this girl he met at the store. He kept on asking me to go with him to his club but I was honestly not in the mood to party. That was until he mentioned that the girl's name was Camilla. I agreed right away, I wasn't sure if the Camilla I met today was the same one my brother met it could all just be a coincident but I had to see for myself.
Turns out it was the same Camilla that I hired that same day. I don't know what's going on but I was going to find out.
"So, Miss Cortes," I spoke "its quite surprising seeing you here"
I loved the blush that settled on her cheeks. She looked like she was born to be here but also looked ready to leave.
"Yeah well I've never been a fan of clubs, I was just so excited that I accepted Nate's offer," she smiled.
I turned to face her, "How'd you meet my dear brother anyway?"
She took a sip of the drink Nate got her, "we met at the store; I had no idea who he was at the time not to mention that he was your brother"
It was so strange but the way she looked at me when she said that I could tell she wasn't lying. That made this so much harder for me cause I liked her. I asked her to dance and surprisingly enough she was an excellent dancer.
"You're a fairly good dancer," I complimented her.
"I try," she grinned at me as I twirled her around and pulled her back into my arms.
