Chapter 8: Biggest Grin Ever

Nothing exciting really happened over the next few days. It consisted of me going to school to learn, hanging out with Marla and friends during lunchtime, and doing homework. The most interesting thing was probably spending some time with Luke. He’s kinda awkward and funny to be around with. Marla kept gushing about me and Luke spending more time together. I swear we have nothing going on...I don’t think he would see me that way.

I brought my laptop over to the living room and sat on the couch. Luke also brought his laptop; he sat I listened to “High and Dry” by Radiohead. Great song. I smiled slightly as I signed in Note-orious.com and checked the latest news. Mmmmm...there was some updated song lyrics, new opinions in new discussions I joined, and...a reply from CharQuincyAdams on a comment about On the Line!! I clicked on it immediately.

VoicedPages109 (me): I love your music, especially this song! It reminds me of Dire Straits, one of my favorite bands :).

I quickly looked over to Luke, who had a happy expression on his face. I focused back to my computer.

CharQuincyAdams: Thanks! I’m considering adding lyrics to it, too. Problem is, I can’t write lyrics to save my life, and I have a voice so bad... well, let’s just say it’s horrible and leave it at that :)

VoicedPages109: Actually, I write lyrics. You can check some the works that I’ve posted.

CharQuincyAdams: No way! I’ve got to check them out, then :D By the way, I saw a comment of yours before, and the truth is. it kinda kept me going, musically. Thanks so much. It really means lots to me.

VoicedPages109: You’re welcome :). Hmmm, I inspired a musician to keep on composing music. A smile grew on my face.

“Why so happy, Lee?” Luke asked casually.

“Lee? Isn’t that a side of a mountain?” I stuck my tongue out at him.

“Nah, I think that’s your nickname now. It seems right. Lee”

“Mmmmmm kk. No reason.” I said nonchalantly.

“For the biggest grin ever? Yeah right. What are you looking at over there?”

“Nothing.” I said quickly. I felt my face warm up from blushing. I picked up my laptop and basically scurried away to my room.
