Aksel's pov(3 weeks later)
I looked at nomad as we all stood next to the small submersible that would bring us back to the USS Wasp. I leaned against the tree behind the group as they talked and said their goodbyes, I had already prepped my rebreather. Once they had all said everything they wanted to nomad turned and started walking towards be as I pushed myself off the  tree as we stopped to my left, I glanced over and spoke "stay safe out here" she smiled and replied "you too huntsman" I lifted my first and she replied by hitting it with her own as we walked away from each other. The respect grown between the two of us over the past 3 weeks shown as we did the one small sign of respect and Tinker now redubbed Nomad asked "we ready to go?" Finka nodded and double checked her rebreather before we started wading out to the submersible. I looked around and saw most of the other units looked uncomfortable at the cold touch of the water while I quite happily waded through happy that the water was warmer than what I usually train in.
We climbed into the cramped reaches of the submersible and started back to the wasp, I didn't worry about much as the dark pitch black consumed us. The ride was slow but eventually we hit the Mark and resurfaced having a US Navy rhib pull up next to us. We made our way out of the submersible and into the rhib that brought us back to the Wasp. When we got lifted out of the water and brought to the hanger deck before one of the Lieutenants spoke "head up to the bridge, the captain wants to talk to you" we nodded and started making our way through the colossal ship. I just laughed causing everyone to look at me strangely before Eliza asked "what's so funny?" I replied "I hope the captain likes soaking soldiers cause that's all he's getting from us" the team chuckled until we made it to the bridge. We all took deep breaths before Lera gave me a pointed look as I raised my hands and asked "hvad?(what?)" she hissed "keep your tongue in check, no comments. Do you understand?" I chuckled and replied "ja, I hear you" before Mike opened the door and we walked in.
We stood shoulder to shoulder soaking wet clad in combat gear but with smiles nonetheless as we saluted. The captain turned and spoke "at ease, I welcome you to my ship. Tomorrow morning I have a seahawk heading to Australia to pick up some supplies, if you wish I can arrange for you to be brought to the air force base where we're getting our supplies and get a ride for you back to Morocco" I looked to my right and saw the team trying to find what to say before they looked at me as I turned to the Captain and spoke "Sir, we'd like that very much so. Thank you" he nodded and replied "I'll make the arrangements, there are bunks open on deck 2 section 4. I'll have the quarter masters get you all some fatigues so you can dry off" Lera found her voice "thank you sir" he smiled and spoke "you all have stopped a global threat, we owe you a great deal" Mike replied "sir, we're just doing our jobs. We don't do it for the recognition. The sentiment is appreciated" the captain replied "go get changed and settled in, the flight leaves at 08:00"
2 days later
The helicopter touched down and we climbed off the helicopter grabbing our gear before I turned and saw Freyja looking extremely pissed off I went to climb back into the helicopter as Sanaa stopped me forcing me to turn around and look at my raging older sister who seemed to always have to the ability to make my confidence disappear. I saw her breathing heavily and looking at me with eyes burning with miniature suns of fury. Any hope I had making an escape left as the Blackhawk lifted off, I looked down and sighed before I lifted my head and started "frey...." she cut me off "nej, frigør mig ikke. du rejste i over en måned, og du sagde ikke engang farvel! hvad fanden ?!(no don't frey me. You left for over a month and you didn't even say goodbye! What the fuck?!)" I looked down and replied "vi blev hurtigt mobiliseret, jeg havde ikke tid. undskyld, jeg ville fortælle dig det(we got mobilized quickly, I didn't have time. I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you)" she glared at me before asking "du lover?(you promise?)" I nodded to which she responded by giving me a right hug. I smiled, it was good to be back at base.
