My head was still a mess, it'd been a week since I accidentally told Lira that I'm in love her and her running away from me. Literally.

My friends come by my room a few times a day to make sure I'm still alive and not died from lack of communication. I appreciate it but I don't want it.

I'd rather them not see me in a mess thanks to some girl. But she's it just some girl and she never will be.

I looked at my photography project splayed out on my desk in messy piles.
Flicking through the photos choosing which should make the final cut.

2 week later

My classes dragged on and on, slowly losing the will to actually try at anything. I walked into my photography class taking my 'usual' seat in the back although I haven't been here in a while. Sadly the class I was looking forward to the most dragged like the rest.

2 and a half weeks later

My friends where still trying to pull me out of my work ad focus on something else but I don't want to. Looking at the photos of Lira and everyone in the park gave me the urge to just leave this room. I saw one of the photos she took of me and Kit laughing and I saw it clearly. That I am actually in love with her. Because with her.

I decided that I'd wallowed in my room for long enough. Standing from my desk I put on a fresh set of clothes, spotting Liras top on the top of my draws, letting out a sigh I grabbed my board and bag, and left the room.
I took a deep breath and knocked on Danny's door.

"It's open!" He shouted. I opened the door to see him sat on the bed with his guitar, he looked up seeing me he smiled softly placing his guitar down.

"Hey Max what can I do for you?" He asked sounding nothing but normal, as if I hadn't shut myself away these last few weeks.
I was grateful for that.

"Lira said she wanted show secrets, and if I'm honest I don't really want to go on my own."
I said sheepishly looking at my skateboard wheels gently spinning them.

"Come on then mate, let's see what it's like in the world of Lira and Maxie." He said standing up getting his board as we left the room.
Thankfully we made it out of school without running into anyone.

The skate was short and before I knew it we were stood at the river boat bridge.

"Wow it's really something" Danny said  as he looked at the view of the boats in front of him much like I did the first time Lira brought me here.

"Come on, this way" I said tapping him on the shoulder, he shook himself out of his head and followed me down the small paved path to the cast iron gate into secrets.

I could hear soft music accompanied by the laughter that could only belong to one group of people, it brought a smile to my face as we crossed the threshold of the park.

"Wow" Danny said in an outwards breath as he took in the sight of the hidden park. I smiled at the reaction he gave, reminding me of my own when Lira brought me here for the first time just over 2 months ago.

"Come on" I said clapping him on the shoulder as I walked towards the group of friends sat under the shady trees by the wall.
