Today was the day you and Vinnie had planned to have lunch out with his friends, and that meant being out of the house and your comfortable bed for most of the day.
And just to make things better, your period started this same morning. By the time Vinnie got to your apartment to pick you up, your cramps were already at their maximum.
Vinnie takes a seat on your bed as you looked through your clothes in the wardrobe, but every option didn't even seem appealing to you.
Today was a very hot day in Los Angles, so dark clothes were a big no-no. But light clothes, or at least lighter colored pants, were against what your friend of the month could tolerate.
So this is just frustrating you even more.
"I don't know what to wear" You groan out loud and Vinnie looks up from his phone to you.
"Some shorts and a t-shirt will be fine, babe" He tells you and you sigh, taking a seat on the ground.
You look through your pile of shorts for a while and a wave of pain hits you like a train.
You close your eyes while taking in a deep breath and try to concentrate on the pain, trying to tell yourself that it's all in your head and not that bad. (We all know that's bullshit but still, do it anyway)
You hear Vinnie get up from your bed and walking over to you. He crouches down behind you and kisses your shoulder when noticing your distress.
"Need my help?" He asks and you nod, opening your eyes slightly.
Vinnie kisses your cheek and leans his cheek onto yours while looking through your clothes. You cup his cheek before kissing his jaw a couple of times, as to say thank you with affection.
Knowing your very emotional self, you look away from Vinnie and back at the clothes.
"What about this?" Vinnie asks and you grabbed the dark blue shorts from his hands.
You nod, now feeling back to your normal self, as the pain slowly calms down.
You grab a white crop t-shirt from the shelf above your jeans and sigh when remembering that you have to get up.
"Do you want me to reschedule today's lunch?" Vinnie asks, not wanting to put in any other kind of hurting position, and you shake your head, leaning it back to his shoulder.
"I'll just take something for the cramps"
You two pull away from each other as you get ready to get up and walk to your bathroom.

You step out of Vinnie's car once it's parked in front of the restaurant and he follows you out after grabbing his wallet and phone from the center console.
Vinnie stretches his hand out to you after locking the doors of the car and you grab it, holding it as you two walk towards the door of the expensive-looking restaurant.
As you walk in, the cold air from the AC hits you right away.
You look around the room to see some families and some groups of friends already eating. It's kind of weird how busy it is in a workday.
You snap back to reality as Vinnie pulls you slightly by your hand, and you notice that he found his friends.
"Look who it is" Jordan says while sipping a bit of his cold beer, "Late as always"
You two sit down on the chairs and look over at everyone. Jordan, Baby j and Troy are the only people you know at this table or care enough to know. And you are definitely not in the mood to meet new people.
"It was my fault" You tell Jordan, excusing the absence of two of you for the 10 minutes that passed, "I woke up really late"
You lean back on your chair as Vinnie makes conversation with some of his other friends.
