Percy Jackson:
Annabeth was acting weird the next day. She wasn't talking to me, not that she usually does but she normally at least acknowledges my existence, but she didn't then.
I thought we had something going during the time we were working on our project at her house. She was laughing at my jokes and telling me things about her. I guess I was wrong.
During lunch I decided to find her and ask what was up. The whole morning she had been acting all gloomy and angry, glaring at nothing like she did on the first day of school.
I found her and my cousin Thalia talking under the big oak tree next to the soccer field.
I chose to hide on the other side of the tree and listen.
"I was just done with him know how he can be."
Thalia nodded.
"Yeah, I'm glad you did, it's just that I remember 10 year old Annabeth always telling me how she wanted to get older and "Marry Luke"... I think it's interesting how you get the chance to date him and you just.... Blow it."
Wait, what?
I heard Annabeth let out an angry huff.
"I didn't 'blow it' Thalia!" Annabeth yelled. She then got quieter.
"He heard us when we were talking on our way to Greek."
What could they have been talking about?
" He called me after Percy -we were working on the project- and just started yelling at me about what I said. He was all "You have a thing for Percy? Think me and you aren't into each other? And I just had it!"
I was majorly confused. Does my crush have a thing for me? That would be nice.
I heard Thalia chuckle. "Do you have a thing for him?"
I leaned closer in anticipation.
"Well..."
Just then, I felt something hard drop on my head and winced.
"Ouch."
I looked down to see that an acorn had fallen on top of my head.
I mentally cursed.
Annabeth and Thalia quickly got up to see who was spying on them. Knowing the girls, Annabeth was most likely going to get defensive and Thalia was going to call me an idiot.
When Annabeth saw me her mouth went wide, then her shock turned to anger. She was red and steam was practically coming out of her ears.
"What do you think you are doing?"
If Annabeth asked trying to keep a calm façade, she was failing miserably.
"...um...duh"
"Can't even answer huh?"
I tried to collect myself and answer the blonde beauty.
"No! Look Annabeth I can explain-"
"You know what? I don't care."
With that Annabeth stalked off. I groaned and face palmed.
Then, just as I suspected, Thalia smacked me upside the head, said "Idiot", and went off after Annabeth.
I felt pretty terrible all day.

When I got home, my mom and Paul were still at work so I decided to lay on my bed and wallow in my guilt.
I was such an idiot.
My crush probably hates me now
"Ughhhh"
Suddenly, my phone started ringing. I answered it.
(Percy Thalia)
Hello?
You are a real idiot you know that?
Thalia, I already know this. You don't need to remind me.
I know your secret.
What?! I have no secrets?!...
Yes. You do. And I think Annabeth does to.
You think? And, she just got out of a relationship. She acts like she can barely talk to me with out combusting.
She's scared Perce.
See! She's scared of me.. I guess I'm just not supposed to get the girl-
She's not scared of you dumb-donkey.*She didn't say donkey*
Wait...what?
Every time someone good comes into her life they either leave or change...and not for the best.
Who?-
Annabeth mom, Athena, left her and her dad for a career, and maybe a few fights. Luke? Annabeth used to look up to him as a child! Then she enters middle school and he is all of a sudden some cold blooded son of a-
Gun. He is a son of a gun
Yeah, whatever. But, Annabeth is always scared to let someone new in her life, She doesn't want another person to leave, and take a piece of her with them. Her dad is a jerk to. Helen tries but-
yeah, I get it. Look, just tell her I am sorry alright?
alright. But, I can tell she likes you. Don't worry mmk?
Yah, sure, whatever.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
After Thalia's call, I felt a litter better. But not much. I needed to prove to Annabeth she can trust me.
