The rest of that school day and the days following were the same. Jisung couldn't get Sooah off his mind no matter how hard he tried, he'd see her in the hallways, at lunch, class yet she wouldn't spare the poor boy a glance. He knew it was because of how he treated her that day he came to school and he also knew she was a quite sensitive person hence why she obliviously wouldn't want to speak to him right now.
It was now Saturday and Jisung was in the boys locker room in a huddle with the rest of his teammates while the captain, serim gave them points and orders. This was jisungs first game in a long couple of months because of an ankle injury and he was the most nervous out of everyone in that room. Chan gave the poor boy reassuring smile everytime he caught his eyes yet Jisung wasn't feeling that reassured at all. One false move, and he was done, for good.
"Jisung seriously. If you don't wipe that nervous look on your face I actually don't know what I'm gonna do with you," serim said as he leaned on another locker right beside jisungs as he crossed his arms over his chest. Jisung just stood there, playing with his rings not really having any idea what to do. A sigh escaped his lips, thinking of Sooah, he filled with determination as he slammed his locker shut and looked straight at serim.
"We're gonna win tonight," Jisung said as he slammed his fist into his locker and serim smiled at him.
"That's the spirit," serim smiled as their coach made his way over to them.
"Good thing you cheered him up," Mr. Yang said as he tapped Jisung on the back flashing him a smile before making his way over to the rest of the guys and having a chat with them.
They finally made their way out to the gym, Jisung looked everywhere for any sight of Sooah but she wasn't there. A sigh escaped the boys lips but juyeon came up beside him and tapped him on they back giving him a smile, followed by Keeho who was fixing the tape on his wrists. The loud cheers of students and parents echoed through the gym as he caught sight of the rest of his friend group as they waved at him and Jisung couldn't help but let out a laugh at the sight of hyunjins poster with the words 'Jisung,Fighting' on it in big blue letters.
They all made theyre way towards their bench as some of the guys shot the guys on the other team glares but serim only hit them in the back of the head so they'd stop. "You guys know what to do," Mr. Yang smiled at them as the boys made their way out on the court and Jisung was about to but the coach grabbed his arm.
"Your not benching me," Jisung said and the coach laughed at him.
"I'd never. I just wanted to tell you that it's only a game, if we lose it's not the end of the world and watch your ankle," he smiled and Jisung smiled back at him as he ran across the court and took his place
The game was about to start but the sound of the metal doors opening grabbed everyone's attention and Jisung looked over to see none other than Sooah followed by Ayeong and Laura. Ayeong blew seokmin a kiss and he blew one back as laura and Sooah shot them both faces of disgust. Sooahs eyes met jisungs for a split second but she tore away first and made her way towards her seat. Jisung felt a little hurt she didn't at least give him a little wave or a smile but he shrugged it off and knew he had to put on a show considering Sooah was watching.
The loud blow of the whistle rang through everyone's ears as the ball was thrown up and serim managed to hit it towards Juyeon who caught it and dribbled it before passing it straight to Seokmin. Most people's eyes were focused on the ball and the ball only while others were only there so they could see the sweaty hot boys and talk about them as they walked home with their friends.
Truthfully, Sooah didn't really have any idea why she even came in the first place, she, of course wanted to support junkyu and Jihoon but somehow her eyes kept on wandering towards jisungs figure. She was mad at him for the way he treated her but she also felt kinda mad at herself for completely cutting him off like that when her whole life she was taught to make sure friends and family's happiness came first. She planned to apologize after the game but the crowds were big and she didn't think she'd get to him soon enough considering his family was probably there watching him too.
