Unrequited~ Han Jisung

Chapter 14. Diner

Sooahs eyes shot open as she stared up at the ceiling of her bedroom. She missed the Halloween dance already and wanted to go back in time just for at least 10 more minutes to enjoy more music as she danced with her friends but it was now mid term and she could do whatever she wanted for the next two weeks. That is every other day except for Friday and Saturday.

Sighing, she got up off her bed and made her way towards her bathroom to have a quick shower before she headed off to the diner she'd be working at. Today was her first day and I guess it's safe to say the girl was a nervous wreck. She was a very friendly person with good social skills but when she's nervous things could and probably will get out of hand. Ayeong and Laura said they'd hopefully try and get a job there but it looked like they weren't looking for anybody else so now laura was stuck at a cafe and Ayeong was stuck at a nursing home. It's not like Ayeong minded doing so considering her grandmother was there but she had hoped maybe laura or Sooah or both of them could join her in looking after a bunch of cute old people but sadly that didn't happen.

Now, Sooah was headed off to the diner in her dark blue jeans and soft pink sweater. Her palms were sweaty as she took the bus, kind of hoping she'd bump into Jihoon and junkyu but sadly not.

The diner was closed when she got there and her anxiety built up but it soon came down when the door opened and she was met with a a blonde haired guy. He seemed a few years older than her but his features were soft and delicate.

"You must be Sooah?" He questioned and she nodded, shaking his hand. "I'm Seungcheol," he smiled as he opened the door further so she could walk in. "You'll be working here with two other students doing work experience. I'm not sure if you know them but one is lee Minho and the other is Han jisung," he said as he scanned through the papers which made Sooah let out a sigh of relief. "You know them?"

"Yeah actually," she smiled as she felt a bunch of weight being lifted off her shoulders which made seungcheol laugh a bit.

"You can sit down here for a bit before they arrive. I'm sure they won't be long," he flashed her a smile before making his way into the back. She stretched out her arms as she took a seat at the stool, resting her head on the table before she heard a knock at the door and she could barely see through the blinds but she could tell who they were by jisungs blonde hair and minhos dusty brown. A smile took over her lips as she made her way towards the door and opened it, letting the two boys in.

Jisung was considerably shocked when he saw Sooah and Minho was more than happy to see her considering he could rat out her little brother and all the mischief he's been up to in school but he was also glad she would be working with them because of course he could hopefully push both jisung and Sooah to get to know eachother better and especially help jisung to stop being a wimp.

"What a pleasant surprise," Minho smiled as he saw Sooah and walked past her making his way into the diner that was smelling of bleach. "Damn since when was this place a murder scene," he said as Seungcheol came out from the back and shot Minho a glare.

"Lovely to see you here mr. Lee," Seungcheol gave Minho a sarcastic smile which only resulted in the brown haired boy shooting him a smirk.

"Likewise, baby," he winked at Seungcheol before looking around once again.

"I don't understand why your looking around, you've been here multiple times before"

"Just taking it in you know. The smell of jeonghan is lingering here somewhere," he wiggled his eyebrows before a brown haired boy came out from the back.

"Very funny," jeonghan gave Minho a sarcastic smile before grabbing the aprons and tossing them towards the three of them. Sooah was shocked as she stood there, watching 4 boys, wondering why the hell she was there in the first place.

"I'm not gonna be working with 4 boys, am I?" Sooah felt uneasy but jeonghan and seungcheol smiled at her.

"There's nothing you can do about it shorty," jeonghan shrugged. "Most of the girls dipped and went to the salons down the street,"

"Maybe I should too," Sooah was about to make a run for it but Minho managed to grab her wrist and bring her back.

"See that's where your wrong. You could fall in love with one of us if you wanted to," Minho smiled as he threw his arm around sooahs shoulder but jisung walked towards them and took minhos hand off her shoulder. "See this is what I mean"

"What kdrama is this?" Jeonghan smiled at them as he rested his hands on the counter which made Sooah look at him wide eyed.

"I'm not apart of this so called kdrama. Come on, tell me what I'm gonna be doing," Sooah grabbed a hair tie out of her bag and through her hair up in a bun as she made her way towards the counter and sat up on a stool as she rested her chin on her palm. "Go on"

Jeonghan and Seungcheol exchanged glances before they both cleared their throats.

"You'll be on waiter duty," jeonghan said and she nodded.

"So will you two," Seungcheol spoke up as he looked towards the two boys who were bickering over something which made Sooah let out a laugh but she quickly stopped and faced jeonghan and Seungcheol.

"Professional," she straightened her back and her shoulders and stared at them with a fierce look but they burst out laughing.

"Your working at a diner, clown. Girlie you ain't a ceo," jeonghan burst out laughing which made Sooah look at him in embarrassment before another guy came in from the back.

"Another one?" Sooah was about to explode but the other brown haired boy just shot her a glare.

"Jun," he just looked at her before grabbing an apron and made his way into the back once again. She raised an eyebrow as Seungcheol and jeonghan stopped laughing.

"Ah thats Jun," jeonghan said. "He doesn't talk much, very unemotional, will more than likely tear your head off if you stand within a 2 metre radius of him"

"He only works Saturdays though so don't worry your little mind," Seungcheol spoke up.

"I thought he quit last summer," Minho spoke up as he sat down on a stool beside Sooah followed by jisung.

"He did but he said he missed us so he came back-"

"Solely a bunch of lies you twat," Jun shouted from the back which made both of them shut up.

"Alright well, we're opening in 15 minutes. Get ready children," jeonghan clapped his hands together as Minho, Sooah and Jisung exchanged glances. Minho smiled at them before making his way into the back to have a chat with Jun.

"You didn't tell me you were gonna be working here," Sooah said as she turned around to face jisung.

"I didn't know you were gonna be working here but surprise?" He did jazz hands and Sooah let out a little laugh.

"I thought I'd be working with people I didn't know but I'm glad you guys are here," she gave him a smile which he returned.

"Me too"
