That Monday morning, Sooah ended up having a full blown staring competition with her phone. She thought maybe Jisung would call her considering he's the one who asked for her number but nope. She had woke up at 11 and it was now half 12 and the poor girl was still staring at her phone until her brother came inside of her room.
"Ayeong and Laura are here," he blandly said before leaving. Sooah let out a sigh of relief as she ran downstairs and her two friends were having a conversation with her mom in the living room.
"You didn't tell me you had a crush, honey," her mom cooed and Sooah shot the two girls a glare before grabbing their wrists and forcing them upstairs.
"Why did you tell her about jisung?" Sooah questioned as Laura started admiring sooahs jewellery on the desk. "Hello?"
"How did you know we were talking about jisung though?" Ayeong smirked at the girl which only resulted in Sooah looking at her wide eyed.
"Because you said it-"
"Nope. No we didn't," Laura laughed.
"What? Yes you did. She asked about my crush"
"Yeah but we didn't say a name, you figured all that out on your own"
"I like him don't I?" Sooah whined as she laid down face flat on her bean bag. She started speaking but her voice was all muffled which only made the girls laugh.
"First crush crisis," Ayeong spoke which made Sooah turn her head and look at the two girls with a pout. Her hair was all messed up and her cheeks were a light shade of pink, the girls cooing at her cuteness.
"How did this even happen anyway?" Laura asked as she started spinning around on sooahs pink spinner chair. Sooah sighed as she turned around and laid on her back, crossing her arms over her chest.
"When we were at the diner on Saturday. He kept like staring at me and everytime I looked at him my heart fluttered and I'm pretty sure my soul left my body for a while," she said and the girls nodded for her to continue. "And when we were like cleaning at the end of our shift, he bumped into me by an accident and I almost fell over but he caught me by my waist and I swear our faces were so close. I shrugged it off although I was dying but it was clear he was flustered and-," she squealed as she dug her head into the bean bag before looking back up at the ceiling, "-he's so fricken adorable"
The girls squealed along with her as they started hitting eachother and laughing.
"Are you gonna tell him?" Ayeong asked and Sooah looked at her as if she was crazy.
"Tell him? Are you off your trolley?" She questioned as she stood up and laid beside them on the bed. They all exchanged looks before Sooah started laughing.
"I mean it is obvious he likes you," Laura shrugged and Ayeong nodded but Sooah shook her head.
"Even if he did, I don't wanna date him"
"The hell? Why not?" Ayeongs eyeballs were bulging out of their sockets at this point.
"Because, I don't like this feeling, it's weird"
"The feeling of having a crush on someone?" Laura asked with a sigh and Sooah nodded. "There's nothing wrong with that feeling. It feels weird at first trust me but it gets better once you hang out with them more, even if they piss you off"
"Yeah, piss you off like a certain green haired guy," Ayeong smirked followed by Sooah who smirked at the blonde girl which only resulted in Laura's cheeks turning a faint shade of pink.
"I didn't ask to be ridiculed like this," Laura look at them, very offended although it was quite evident that her and Keeho had a bit of a fling going on. They were all interrupted when sooahs phone started buzzing on her bedside table which she grabbed and jisungs name lit up her screen. The girls started giggling but quickly shut up when Sooah hit them in the arms.
"Hey," Sooah smiled a bright smile at her phone which made the girls start giggling. "Shut up"
"Huh?" Jisung questioned on the other end of the phone but Sooah just sighed.
"Sorry, the girls are over right now"
"Do you want me to call later-"
"No no it's fine, what did you need anyway?"
"I was gonna ask if you wanted to hang out"
"Hang out? Like right now? I don't know-," Sooah was cut off when both Ayeong and Laura hit her.
"Your going," Laura whisper shouted as she pointed to her and Ayeong nodded.
"What? No, are you insane?" Sooah whispered shouted back which only resulted in Ayeong grabbing the phone off Sooah and Laura holding the small girl down so Ayeong could speak to Jisung.
"Hey, jisung," Ayeong smiled and Jisung raised an eyebrow at his phone but just shrugged.
"Wheres Sooah?"
"Her brother needed something but she wanted me to tell you that she can hang out at around half 1 if that's okay with you," Ayeong smiled and now Sooah was kicking and shouting but her whines were muffled by Laura's hand. Sooah tried to lick Laura's hand but the blonde girl just smirked at Sooah.
"That don't work on me sweetie," Laura whispered followed by a chuckle.
"Oh yeah that one. For sure I'll tell her that, bye bye," Ayeong smiled as she pressed the red button on sooahs phone and put it down beside her on the bed. Sooah was let out of Laura's grip as she pounced towards Ayeong, trying to grab her phone but she couldn't so she huffed out a sigh before sitting back down on her bean bag.
"What did he say?" Laura asked and Ayeong smiled.
"He wants to meet you at the recording studio down the street from greens cafe," Ayeong said as she looked towards Sooah but the black haired girl just raised an eyebrow.
"Recording studio?"
"Beats me," Ayeong shrugged.
"Right well, you gotta go take a shower and get dressed so you can enjoy your lil wee date with Han jisung," Laura wiggled her eyebrows followed by Ayeong who did the same thing.
"Not a date," Sooah got up and made her way towards her wardrobe, bringing out clothes and setting them down on her drawer before walking into the bathroom. "Will you guys walk with me?" She shouted.
"Nope," Laura said and both her and Ayeong ran out the door, sooahs shouts muffling into nothing as they gave sooahs mom a quick goodbye and ran out the door.
Sooah sighed and let out a breathless laugh before looking at herself in the mirror. She had never felt like this before, like, for anyone. She started running through the memories in her mind and landing on the first time she had ever met han jisung and she got the butterflies once again. She didn't think it was possible for her to have liked him the very first second she spoke to him but as she kept running and running through her memories she found herself remembering how she would always look for his voice or even his face once she stepped into class. His voice during theatre practices, his cheeks how they puffed out when he ate. Everything.
"How did I not notice it before?," she mumbled.
