KING COUNTY, GEORGIA, MARCH 2010

It was a hot day in King county and me and my friend were sat at my window, watching my uncle Rick and his friend, Shane, laugh and joke in the backyard.

"You gotta admit, he's hot right?" My blonde friend said as she stared at the cop with the shotgun. I laugh slightly, "Oh yeah, he definitely is, but we don't say it out loud. Rick could hear us Rose."

Rose smiles, shaking her head, "You're 23, not 12, it's alright to admit someone is attractive Dani." She said, grabbing her drink.

I sigh, "Yeah, but it's my uncles best friend, I've know him since I was like 12."

Rose sighs, shaking her head, "That doesn't matter. You like him right? Have since you were like 16? It is time to tap that babe!" Rose said, grabbing onto my shoulders, shaking me slightly.

I remove her hands, laughing, "Maybe. Now can we please talk about something else?" I look out the window again, my eyes falling onto Shane who was already looking at me. I smile at him and wave. He smiles back before walking to Rick.

Rose giggles, "He totally wants you."

I laugh slightly, raising my eyebrow at her and biting my lip, "Well, if he crawled into my bed, I wouldn't kick him out."

She laughs, nodding her head, "I'm just telling you to go for it." She looks at her phone and gets up, "I have to go now, I'm meeting Alex and I don't want to be late."

I nod, standing as well, "I'll see you tomorrow, you're working tomorrow right?" I go to my door and open it, both of us start walking down the stairs.

"Yeah, 9 till 3." She says, opening my front door.

"Okay, I'll see you at work then." She nods, walking out. I shut the door and turn around coming face to face with Shane.

I jump slightly, before smiling, "You need to stop doing that."

He laughs, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya."

I nod, "I know..."

He looks up at me, smirking slightly, "So, I heard from Rick you had a boy over the other day."

I chuckle, blushing slightly, "Yeah, what about it?"

He looks me up and down slightly, his smirk not leaving his face, "Just wanting to ask about him, who is he?"

I shrug, "Just some guy I met a few weeks ago. He was hot so I thought 'why not?'" I laugh a bit.

His smirk leaves his face slowly, "So you... ya know?"

I breath out a laugh, nodding, "Yeah, we did, why?"

He shrugs with this look on his face, a look that was either annoyance or jealousy. Or both.

"No reason. Just wondering. Been wanting to catch up that's all."

I nod as I walk forward a bit, this overwhelming urge to kiss him washing over me. I can't but that doesn't mean I can't get him to do something.

"Fair enough. Why do you look so... angry?" I ask him, smirking slightly. I knew he liked him, he wasn't exactly very good at hiding it. But I wanted to see if he would admit it first or make the first move.

"I'm not angry darling. It just occurred to me that you're been doing things with boys..."

He hesitated, like he wanted to carry on saying something. I decide to add on, "And girls." His eyes darken slightly, a frown etched on his face almost permanently now.

"Yes... guess you're not 13 anymore, that's all."

I smirk, "Exactly. I'm not 13 anymore." I walk up to him, and look up at him, "I know what I'm doing and I've done it... a lot." I bite my lip, feeling confident right now. I get close to him and lean up to him.

"And I know you like me. I know that you want me. I'm just wondering when you're going to do something about it." I whisper to him before pulling back and smirking at him. I walk away and up the stairs, my heart beating so fast I can literally hear it.

I was listening to music when someone knocks on the door. I pull my earphones out and yell for them to come in.

Rick walks in, an apologetic smile on his face, "Do you mind picking Carl up from school? Shane'll drive you. It's just I've gotta stay late tonight."

I nod, smiling, "Of course."

Rick smiles before nodding and walking out. I stand up and put my shoes on before walking downstairs. I smirk as I see Shane stood there, almost waiting for me to come down. I smile at him before looking at Rick, "I'll let you know we've got him."

He smiles, "Lori's gone shopping so she shouldn't be too long."

He leaves the house and gets in the cruiser, he pulls out and drives down the street. I turn to Shane with and innocent smile, "Let's go get Carl."

I hear him groan under his breath slightly as he follows after me closing the door and locking it.
