Hi! I'm really glad you're reading my story! I don't update a lot but I try my best! This fanfic is about an OC named Diane and Oliver Wood (from Harry Potter). If you are looking for an "x reader" series, this is not the place to go! This originally started as "x reader" but I am changing it to OC. If you want more information on the change you can find that in this authors note. I wanted to address that in this fic the Burrow was not burned down!! But unfortunately, Freddie is still dead :(

The reason why I have switched this to an OC book is because I have been reading a lot on Wattpad recently, brainstorming for new chapters, getting the entire plot ready, and my character's personalities, and I realized that a lot of my favorite fics (Potter by TinaX2; Muggle by TinaX2; Golden Boy by boyifyouknew; Captain by Alpacalypse) are all OC and I find that so much better than "x reader" for many reasons. First off, "x reader" can be quite hard to write, I found that writing "x reader" is hard because I can't exactly give Y/n a family, I have no idea what my readers' lives are like. I really do not want to offend any of my readers or remind them of any trauma with the whole family idea. For example, if I made Y/n's parents healthy, alive, and very close together, I wouldn't want that to come off as assuming all parents are happy, healthy, together, and have close bonds with their children. That stereotype can also be very unrealistic. Secondly, the looks, I tried putting an outfit together for Y/n but I felt really bad about it so I took it down. I have no idea what Y/n looks like: what color their hair is, what race they are, their body type and more. I do not want to set a bad example for young writers by stereotyping readers as "blue eyes, blonde hair, the perfect body shape, and more basic features" I see a lot of that all over this platform and I find it very wrong and disturbing. Finally, the personality type, this is the part I really stress out about. I'm constantly wondering, "What if the readers don't do this?", "What is the readers don't like this", "Is this cringy?", "Am I making a fool of myself?". The list of thoughts I get goes on and on. I really love all my readers and do not want to offend them.
