"Every artist was first an amateur."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
《-♡----------------♡-》

This book was written on behalf of an apprentice behind, I am in no way a pro myself. However, I will still share what knowledge I have.
My name is Addison. I prefer being called Addy though.
I started officially taking art seriously when I was only nine years old.
Every artist always starts with a rough patch, some may disappear quickly, others may take a little while longer. And for me, it took nearly eight years to finally conclude that I am an amazing artist to my extent.
I write this book in hopes I can help a young, creative mind learn the basic necessities of art.
Remember this, it isn't the tools that make the artist, it is the time and dedication one puts into their work that decides upon the artist themselves.
Likewise, don't worry about needing to buy expensive stuff like Adobe software, copic markers, prismacolor markers… If all you have is crayola markers, then that is perfectly valid and all works the same if you put it to that use, and to that of your intention as well. An artist will never be done learning, no matter how good and talented one is, they are not done on their journey. Art is a skill that has many different things to learn, even after death, you were never really finished learning.
I know that info can be a little overwhelming, but try not to let that be the main thing stopping you. This is the motive behind why I decided to write this. So, I hope you truly enjoy this and I hope you do end up learning something along the way.
