Y/N RETURNED HOME that day, a small smile in her lips and her mood lighter than usual. She felt better than she had in years, to finally pour out some of her bottled emotions out for someone to hear and understand.

She knew she wasn't in the clear yet though, she still had to get to know Finn again because he could be entirely different now. And yet to her, he was the same.

At least she had a start. At least there was hope for them in the future.

Wait, the future?

What was hell was she talking about? She's engaged in a somewhat stable relationship and she has a son, she can't compromise that.

And yet, she couldn't help herself from wondering what could have been, and what could become of her and Finn. No matter how wrong it seemed, it didn't feel that way to her.

It was fairly early still, it was only noon, right around lunch time, and if she was lucky, then that meant Jack was still at work. She really wasn't in the mood to deal with him at that moment.
But the time also meant that Flynn was still at school, so it was just her.

She dropped her bag off on the kitchen table as she entered her apartment, tossing the keys beside her bag that held Finn's confidential patient file.

She made her way into hers and Jack's shared room, tossing her dress coat onto the bed with a huff, making her way to her closet to change into something more comfortable.

She changed into a regular t-shirt and sweatpants, but wanted to wear a jacket or something over it.

She scanned her clothes, her mind wandering as she subconsciously filtered through her clothes on the hangers. Until she paused, realizing that she was now at the end of the closet where she kept Finn's old hoodie's hidden.

Her eyes then trailed to the floor where she had previously left the one she dropped the other day, not finding the mental capacity to pick it up.

But it was gone.

The last hoodie Finn wore and gave to her. It was the Nirvana hoodie she wore that night. The night Finn..got shot, and the night her father's life ended.
