(morning of December 9 continued)
Those words hit you like a train collision. All of a sudden a montage of the past months flash in your mind, all the moments of laughter, reading together, learning to be open with one another, and those sweet moments of hot passion, all becoming just simple glimpses in your head. Your eyes start to swell up with tears and you can't think of something to tell him.
"Please y/n! Say something to me!" Tom pleaded holding your hands.
"I thought you were going to stay in the states...you bought a home here and then...everything that happened..."
"My home is in London y/n....my family and entire life is over there..."
You let go of his hands and stand up from the bed, still wrapping your mind with what was just revealed to you. "So that is what Jon meant about going back home in March. How could I have been so stupid to let things get this far!" You are overcome with tears that you cannot stop from flowing.
Tom stands up and tries to grab your shoulders, "you are not stupid y/n, please listen to me"
"Why did any of this happen then Tom, for what!? Was I just something to preoccupy your time while you were here, because of the pandemic we sure didn't "work" as much...What happened right now was that your 'saying goodbye' to me sex?!"
Tom yells, "Please it's not like that at all!"
"I need to go!" you rush to your room and grab the quickest things you can find to dress yourself.
Tom follows you to your room dressed solely in his joggers, as you start to get dressed, "Please don't go y/n! Stay with me right now please!"
"For what Tom! You're leaving...there's no point to me being here anymore."
You storm down the stairs and Tom follows behind, "Please don't go y/n, it is raining"
Still crying your heart out, "I don't care I need to go now!"
As you are about to exit, Tom gets in between you and the door. "Y/n, please just stay with me, for whatever time is left please."
Looking into his blue eyes, you wanted to desperately say yes that you would stay with him for whatever time you had left with him, but knowing that he would eventually leave you did not want to delay the hurt any longer. "your blue eyes beckon me to stay...but i cannot do that to myself, you should have told me every single day that you weren't staying so I didn't have to feel this way now...especially since I...you know it doesn't even matter anymore."
You rush out into the pouring cold December rain, and open your car door. Tom tries to prevent you from closing it, but you push him off and lock your door. Tom standing shirtless in the freezing rain looking at you through your car window, you look at him once more to always carry his visage in your memory, and drive around the drive way and leave.
As you drove your tears clouded your eyesight a bit. You could feel the immense pain well up inside your heart. You pull over, and start loudly crying. All of these months you have gotten to know the one man who've you been head over heels for about ten years, the man whom you sought in others, but never found anyone like him in anyone else you've dated, and now just as you thought you could have a chance to make your dreams a reality, it feels as like all is lost.
From your passenger seat you hear your phone ringing and see that it is Tom calling. Seeing his name and a selfie the two of you took illuminate the screen, you answer the phone, but say nothing and you hear that sweet familiar voice, "hello...y/n...y/n...please come back...ple" you hang up before you heard what else he had to say. You throw your cell to the backseat of the car, and start driving to see the person who tried to warn you about this in the beginning, Elena.
