Chapter 8

"A haunted hospital!

"Hell yeah, that sounds like fun!" Eren exclaimed. 

I looked at everyone's faces as they all seemed pumped with adrenaline to go into the haunted house. I tried not to appear nervous because the last thing I wanted to do was ruin the fun for everyone. I tried to focus on the fact that I was surrounded by people I enjoyed being around. But I guess I wasn't good at hiding a nervous face because Marco was looking at me with a concerned expression.

"Are you okay (y/n)? You look kinda worried. We don't have to go if you don't want to." Marco said which made everyone turn their heads to me. 

"No no! Not at all. Of course, I am excited to go!" I put on my best happy face and reassured everyone. 

"Of course (y/n) is not scared! That would be so lame." Eren said.

Wow, thanks Eren. 

"Besides (y/n) has all of us! We can go in as a group!" Sasha exclaimed. 

Thank you, Sasha! That was something I can agree with. I feel better about it already!

"We should leave now then! I heard it's crazy popular and the lines get long." Jean pointed out. 

Everyone began heading out the door of the diner all excitedly. I felt my feet drag me as I hesitated to even get up. Why must I be such a scaredy cat? I can't ruin this for everyone. I was looking down trying to mentally prepare myself when I heard a familiar voice. I thought everyone had already walked out. 

"Are you sure you're okay (y/n)?" Eren asked. I could tell he was serious. His eyebrows furrowed and his green eyes looked at me with such care yet concern. Or maybe that was all in my head. 

"Yeah! Don't worry about me." I gave him my best smile. 

He gave me one last look for a couple of seconds in silence. His eyes went up and down. It made me blush a little but then he sighed and grabbed my hand. 

"Then stop being so slow and c'mon."

He dragged me out of the dinner and off we went to the haunted hospital. He walked faster than me so all I could see was the back of his brown hair. It calmed me how he held my hand. I know he can't for the duration of the haunted hospital but this is nice for now. I just have to stay positive and think happy thoughts! It will be fine. We will be in a group and it will be over before I know it...right? 

-Time skip like 5 minutes-

We arrived as a group at the front of the haunted hospital attraction. To my surprise, there were more familiar faces from school waiting in line to enter. 

"Armin! Mikasa!" I waved at them as Eren and I approached the front of the haunted hospital along with Jean, Connie, and Sasha. 

They turned their heads surprised to see me along with the other familiar faces. Reiner, Bertholdt, Annie, Ymir, and Historia.

"Oh my God! You guys are here too!?" Sasha and Connie exclaimed in unison. 

"Great more people." Jean sighed sarcastically.

"Yo." Eren said nonchalantly raising one arm. Not realizing his other hand was still holding mine. 

"Hey. You guys are here too- wait a minute. When did that happen?" Ymir said smirkingly as she looked in Eren I's direction. 

Everyone turned their heads to us and I could feel my face heat up and my stomach drop. I did realize he was still holding my hand but I did not pull away cause that would be rude..part of me also did not want to...
