"Leave me alone Otis." I retort throwing the middle finger at my teacher as I run to Karter's car jumping in.

"Bruhh drive." I yell as he sits there looking at me like I'm stupid.

As we pull off, I turn up the music hearing that Meghan Thee Stallion "Thot Shit" was on.

"Pussy like crack and he hit it like dope, got a real hot box but a bitch don't smoke ahh." I rap twerking in the seat.

Flipping my hair over my shoulder, "Hot girl but I'm still the coldest hey I'm the big homie but I ain't the oldest hmm." Seeing out the corner of my Karter laughing at me.

He turns it off, "Baby I love you." Karter has been real affectionate lately, I mean he was affectionate before but not as much.

"I love you too." I reach over pecking his cheek softly, it's been different between me and Karter a good different of course.

"So i booked us a trip after you graduate and shit, lil vacation for us."

I gasp loudly, "We going on a baecation?" I ask being dramatic.

"Uhm yea stop being weird though."

"You love my weird ass though." I retort tooting my lip up.

"I hope it's after me and Dakota trip cause baby it's a hot girl summer."

He rolled his eyes at me playfully before we stop at a stop sign, "Don't do that baby." I roll my eyes dragging my words.

I always say I hate when people drag their words but I go and do the same thing.

"Keon how you feeling?" I ask watching as his face contorts in pain when he lets his bed back.

"I'm good, I just wish everyone would stop treating me like I'm gone break or some." He says pain lacing his voice.

I sigh, "Well it's expected Keon, when you got shot it felt like the whole world stopped, you're parents were devastated and so was friends and family you just have to understand it for them from that point of view."

"I understand to some extent but things just feel different now that I-" he stops and looks at his legs for a moment.

"Keon just because you can't walk at the moment doesn't mean you won't ever again, trust your time is coming don't worry about it." I added rubbing his back soothingly.

He looked at me smiling, "You're really good for Karter, you know that right, I'm glad he has someone like you in his life." He admits.

"I know, I know."I bragged flipping my hair.

"I never thought in a million years that Karter would be with you, I mean I saw you in school a couple a time before y'all met, but you were just someone that went to my school, it was an unexpected attraction if you ask me." Keon added smiling at me.
