A few days later

"Boii stops playing with me," I say laughing at Karter on the phone.

"You want me to take you to school tomorrow?" He asks.

"Ya, you can take me and get me some breakfast," I say smiling.

"Aye, Lil nigga I ain't say nun bout no breakfast." He says.

"But I bet you still gone buy me sum," I say smirking.

"You right you right." He says.

"Aight youngin it's time for you to go to bed." He says.

I fucking hate when he calls me that.

"Bye Karter," I say hanging up immediately.

I know he gone say sum bout dis tomorrow.

I get up off the bed going downstairs.

I hear whispering when I get down there.

"We'll tell them at the bbq right now is not the time for them to know." My mama said.

"You right you right but knowing them this is not gonna be all hugs and kisses." Aunt Dana said.

I walk from around the corner.

"Tell who what and what's not gonna be all hugs and kisses?" I ask raising my eyebrows at them.

"None baby and what I tell you bout eavesdropping?" My mama asks squinting ha eyes at me.

"Sorry, ma I couldn't help but overhear," I say shrugging my shoulders.

"Why are you not sleep, Lil girl?" Aunt Dana asks.

"Because I wanted sum to drink before I went to bed," I said like it was the most obvious thing in da world.

"Oh, aight well we finna go to bed don't try to stay up too late." My ma said while walking out the kitchen with my aunt following.

I go to the fridge grabbing whats left of the orange juice.

Deep-throat motherfuckers always drinking all the damn orange juice.

I finally finish the orange juice and run upstairs jumping in bed.

I sigh before leaning back in bed letting sleep take over me.
