Eren Yeager could not stop thinking about what had happened.
One, that door there leads to your room. You stay here now, in the General's office.
Two, just like your assigned Captain, Captain Levi, I am a clean freak. Do not get yourself dirty, bloody and make sure you are clean all the time.
Three, you will train just like the other recruits in this camp with the exception, you have a timetable to follow. Every Fridays and weekends, you will be alongside me at all time. Be it in the office doing paperwork or outside to anywhere.
Four, live your life as per usual, have friends, hang out with them, for what I care, inform me on where you are going at all time.
Five, you will be having breakfast, lunch, and dinner with me right here in this office.
Six, never question any of my decision. You had the chance to ask all the questions earlier on and your chance is over.
Seven, never let your intense emotion get physical. You can have them but, do not show them outside. Get into this office and let it out. You want to cry, go ahead, you want to be angry, throw whatever that is in this room.
Eight, if anyone or anything happened to hurt, judge, or disrespect you, you tell me.
Nine, do not keep a secret from me. You share everything with me.
Ten, you are now Kim Eren.
That was all the general said before dismissing him into his room. His room was a lot better than the one he used to have. The bed was softer and thrice bigger than the previous one. There was a wardrobe in the room filled with new clothes in his size. A study table was put near the window where he could oversee the city. There was also a bookshelf with all the books he had always wanted. Despite the sudden luxury he now had, Eren did not stopped thinking about what had happened. The general saved him from almost dying whilst being beaten up by the Captain despite knowing the Captain was doing it for show. She housed him immediately after as if she had owned him, like a son.
"Time for dinner." Her soft yet stern voiced broke him from his thoughts. He made sure that he looked satisfactory and exits his room, to the dinner table. There, he saw the general serving a bowl of what seems to be a hot steaming noodle soup. He sat down. It was dead silence, only a constant slurping was heard as he devoured the food graciously. Instead of eating, the general had her eyes locked to the boy opposite her. She observed him deeply.
"Are...are you going to eat to?"
"Not tonight. Tell me your favourite food and things you do not like."
"I love curry and I do not like spicy food and mushrooms."
"ok."
It was dead silent again. Eren acted as if it did not bother him but, unsuccessfully did. He quickly finished up his food, thanking the general for it.
"Do you like it?"
"Yes."
"I put a poison in it."
He froze shocked at the sudden confession.
"What?"
"I put poison in it. It will make you sick in a couple of minutes."
There it was. The sick feeling that devoured his stomach. He ran to the toilet, hunching over the toilet bowl and retches everything he ate earlier yet, the sickness did not go away. His head pounded against his skull; his chest felt as if someone was stepping on it repeatedly. He gagged again despite the emptiness of his stomach. Cold sweats made its way to his body, sending shivers down his spines. He felt horrible, worse than when he was beaten up in the Military Tribunal.
"Why...why would you do this?" Eren mumbled as he lost his consciousness, hitting the cold floor of the toilet.
