The next morning, he found himself in his bed, changed into a new set of clothing. A towel was placed on his forehead. He panicked, remembering what had happened last night. He shot out of the bed, wishing all of it to be a dream, only to notice that he was in his room which was in the general's office. It was not a dream. He did not feel sick. He felt fine. In fact, he had awoken to feel the best that he had ever felt in years and he questioned himself again. If the general were to really poison him last night, why would he still feel so much better? Shouldn't he still feel sick?

"I told you to inform him about the side effect, not tell him you poisoned him." He heard voices coming from the office. "It was one simple job and yet you could not do it."

"I didn't feel the need to do it." There, the general's voice.

"At the very least, tell him that you are trying to cleanse him. Do not torture him like that."

"Step out of the room Eren. You are awake."

Eren panicked. Should he climb back into bed and pretend that he was still sleeping?

"No point in going back into bed and pretend that you are asleep. Come outside and have breakfast."

Did he just read my mind?

Eren opened the door and walked up to her and the lady who he never seen before.

"Oh, good morning. You must be Eren Yeager." The lady chimed."

"Kim Eren." The general corrected.

"Whatever," the lady pursed her lips and patted his shoulder, "My name is Hikari Kuina. It is very nice to finally meet you. I am your mot---," before she could finish her sentence, the general intervened.

"Morning. Eat your breakfast Eren. You need to go and train." Despite the calmness in her voice, her eyes were shooting glares at the lady, now known as Hikari Kuina.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Kuina sheepishly smiled. "As I was saying, I am the general's friend. Just for your clarification, I cooked breakfast so, you will be very safe."

Eren nodded, sitting on the chair of the dinner table. He looks at the food. Much to his own surprise, he did not feel sick at the sight of it despite what had happened last night. Eren ate his breakfast.

"You are assigned to Captain Levi, meet him for roll call. Do you intend to go anywhere after your training?"

"I would like to hang out with my friends, Mikasa and Armin."

"Ok. Be back by 10pm." The general simply said.

Eren nodded and scurried down the hallway where the assembly point was held. He pushed aside all his thoughts away and focused strictly on his training.

The captain entered the general's room after receiving her approval. She sat, leaning against the chair as piles of paper stacked on her table. A sigh left her lips. Her eyebrows scrunched in furrow, muscles tensing on every part of her body. Captain Levi silently approached the general, sneaking behind her as he placed his hands on her shoulders, messaging the tense away.

"When was the last time you slept?"

"I do not know. I cannot remember." She admitted.

"You need to sleep. Your body will shut down if you don't."

"I literally have thousands of paperwork not done and, I need to attend to the Monarch meeting." She yawned. The bags under her eyes were more than enough to indicate that she barely had any sleep.

"I will take over your paperwork. Go and take a nap. I will wake you up when it is time for the Monarch meeting."

"You have to train the recruits."

"They are training right now, and I doubt they will be done anytime soon." The captain said as he pushed the general on her feet lightly. "Go."

"Ok. Thank you, Captain." She gave him her famous eye smile before staggering towards the couch. The moment her body hit the velvet couch; she was completely out.

Captain Levi smiled at her sleeping figure and began completing the unfinished paperwork. A knock sounded on the wooden door of the room. The captain instantly responded to it. Kuina walked into the room with a bunch of items in her hand.

"She's finally asleep?"

"Yes indeed." The captain nodded.

Kuina casually walked to the kitchen, organising the item that she had brought to the office.

"She told me to get all the groceries that was available in the market. I assumed you are sleeping over for the week?"

The captain shook his head, "Well. I sleep here almost every day but, I think she bought it for Eren. Besides, you know I am particular about ingredients. She would not have you to buy the groceries. She would personally go and get the grocery by herself."

"That is accurate. So, Captain, what are your thoughts on having Eren around?"

"The general and I have yet to talk about it so, I am not giving any opinion yet." He said straightforwardly.

"Well, I assure you that it is a very amusing reason behind her actions." Kuina smirked.

"Well, it better is. Even if I do not support her to it, what more can I say? She is the general of Special Operations Scout." A frown was visible in the general's feature.
