Eren X Reader~ Back in the Stables

~3rd Person POV~
As the stallion gallops away, Eren and (Y/N) were left dumbfounded. They looked towards each other and let out a small laugh after being so nervous. The rumours were true, Levi is a bit of an asshole when he wanted to be. However this wasn't the side that (Y/N) saw of Levi, he was often comforting and understanding even if his face remained stuck in one expression; (Y/N) knew deep down that was how he coped with everything that's ever happened to the humanities strongest.

"Eren...why are people so scared about this gorgeous mare .. she's the only mare here ..look at her markings aren't they gorgeous"(Y/N) remarked stroking the mare as she nuzzled (Y/N) more. The mare had grey dapples, she stood out from the rest and it was clear no one dared to get close to her often as her tail was partially matted. Eren took a look over leading his stallion but remaining a distance back as they didn't want funny business between the horses to happen. "You're right she's gorgeous... can I stroke her?" Eren asked while tying up his chestnut companion. "Yeah of corse come over!" (Y/N) insisted.

Eren took a step towards the grey dappled mare, the mare on the other hand was not having it; she neighed and dragged her hoof across the ground. Her annoyance alarmed Eren, he was actually scared of a horse. (Y/N) petted (Horse/ name) and she calmed down. (Y/N) tied (H/N) up and then dragged Eren closer. "She's going to have to get used to people, come on I'm here Eren she won't hurt you that's a promise... here" (Y/N) said as she guided in to the side of (H/N). She looked at Eren and decided it's now or never. She grabbed his hand and put it on the stubborn mares neck and then said "see..." the mare began to get frustrated...which gave (Y/N) an idea. "Hey Eren don't freak out when I do this" he nodded in acknowledgement and let her do whatever she planned. She placed her hand on top of Eren's and the mare calmed down. "Wow she's something else huh." Eren remarked with a light pink dust across his cheeks. They both laughed and then went to tack up their horses.

Eren got his chestnut friend ready after 20minutes brushing and tacking  up he mounted his steed as if it was nothing and then waited for (Y/N) who had tacked but was brushing the matted tail in frustration. Eventually the tail was detangled and (Y/N) decided to platt the tail to prevent it from happening again. Eventually she mounted the horse and trotted to Eren who was awaiting her. As the sun began to set they set off towards Captain Levi. Their conversations happy and light hearted, Eren asked about the captain and (Y/N)'S stories a lot. Eren had a strong liking towards (Y/N) but was to afraid of rejection or worse a beating from her godfather, after all he hated his guts. Little did he know (Y/N) was slowly but surely developing similar feelings for Eren.

~Time skip to Eren and (Y/N) catching up to The Special Ops squad~
"Took you brats long enough...jeez Cadet (L/N) the mare looks better" he said astonished by her hard work and perseverance. Soon from behind the Captain, Petra rode to see the new female of the group. Petra was excited epsecially when she found out it was a girl that had crazy good talent. The red haired woman introduced herself "hi, I'm Petra it's good to see another girl here " she smiled sweetly and then the rest of the group followed suit and introduced themselves.

They began to ride towards the HQ when the question of family members came up. Eren spoke first explaining how his dad disappeared or night and that his mother was eaten right in-front of him, this broke (Y/N) as she saw a brave boy, no man talk about his traumatic past. Once he finished explaining all eyes fell on (Y/N) she was hesitant at first and then began to explain " my parents met in the scouts ... and had me, my mother was pregnant through three expeditions too. And when I was around seven Captain Levi came back and informed me...and...and...I'm sorry" (Y/N) got emotional remembering what happened. Soon she felt a hand on her back and another hand on her hand. Eren had his hand on (Y/N)'S back and Petra put hers on her hand. Pretty was becoming more of a mother towards (Y/N). Soon Levi butted in "listen this is true but it doesn't mean the 14 year old doesn't have a legal guardian so No funny business or I'll be on your backs ... Got it" all of them saluted and then Eld asked "whose your legal guardian is it like your mothers brother or-" Eld was cut off by a stone cold voice "it's me dumbass... I've known (Y/N) from a young age I was on the expedition when (M/N) was pregnant" he had a small smile tugging at his usually straight lips.

Soon the special ops squad arrived at the HQ where they were greater by Commander Erwin. Everyone saluted and then put their horses in the respected stables and headed in. Levi was about to head in when Erwin stopped him and said "she looks like her mother doesn't she... and the wild mare too..wow she even acts like her" he remarked and Levi simply scoffed and 'Tch"ed and he walked in, Erwin falling suit very closely.

The special ops squad sat at the table. Eren and (Y/N) sat slightly closer as well as Petra sat next to (Y/N). Petra's motherly instinct where kicking in to the point she wanted to brush (Y/N)'S her which (Y/N) let happen. The rest of the night was telling stories and other interesting conversations while drinking black tea.
———————————————————————— Hewwo~ well that was hella wordy sorry if it was boring. The next chapter will be based on the first night at the HQ. Nothing funky but interesting conversations. There will also be room paring besides Eren, who as we all know sleeps in the basement.

Anyway I might write it tomorrow but it's pretty late at the moment sooo imma leave this here. I'm open to suggestions so please let me know.
