Brae's POV

I wake up in my hotel room that Jack got for us. He is going to stay with us for a while to help train Chris and reveal my other powers if I have any.

I haven't mentioned that I saw Ace with someone else yet, but I feel like I should talk to someone soon. I get out of bed, grabbing my duffle bag and heading to the bathroom. I take a quick shower dry my hair with my towel.

I put on a pair of black ripped jeans, a cropper grey shirt and my leather jacket. I grab my combat boots and head to the conjoining room where Jack and Chris are sleeping. They are on separate beds of course.

That would have been a sight, the two of them cuddled up to each other, Noctis laughs.

"Rise and shine boys!" I say loudly.

They both groan and glare at me, "What time is it?" Chris asks.

"Seven, get ready. We should move onto the next town."

"Why so early though?" Jack complains.

"You have had to get up earlier than this when you were training you pack so quite your whining," I roll my eyes.

They finally start moving and once they stand up out of their bed, I leave the room. I throw my hair up into a high ponytail now that it is dry. I head out the door with my bag in hand.

I will meet you guys at the cars, I tell Chris and Jack.

I head out of the hotel and stand by the jeep. I have had a feeling in my gut since I woke up that something is coming and that is why I want to get out of this town.

Ten minutes go by before I see Jack and Chris walking out of the hotel. They both look exhausted as they walk over to me.

"Why don't you give in your car to a dealership so we can all split the drive in one car?" Jack suggests.

I gasp in offence, "I will not give away my baby, why don't you hand in your car?"

He looks over at his black mustang, "You have got to be kidding me, right? That is a precious car, I won't just give it away," Jack retaliates.

"I guess we will have to keep driving two cars then," I tell Jack.

Jack looks from me to his car, "Fine, I will get rid of my car..."

"Great," I cut him off.

"But not to a dealership," he tells me, "There is a pack a few minutes from here. The previous alpha was a childhood friend of mine."

I huff, "Fine."

I hope in my car with Chris and Jack takes the lead in his car. We only drive for five minutes before turning down a dirt road leading further into the forest. Jack wasn't lying when he said it was close. We soon pull up to a decent sized pack house with wolves all waiting outside looking guarded.

I guess this childhood friend doesn't know about Jack being a black wolf or else he would have mindlinked him. I step out of the jeep and tell Chris to wait until this settles down and he agrees.

I walk over to Jack's car are a wolf lunges at me. I punch him in his temple causing him to fall unconscious. The other wolves start to advance before a man walks out the the pack house telling them to wait.

Jack walks up to him and gives him a hug, "Roger! How have you been?" Jack asks.

"I've been good Jack, it's nice to see you again. What brings you here?"

"I was wondering if you could take care of my care for me for a while."

"Of course as long as I can take a drive every one and a while," Roger jokes.

"Why not. I should get going, but thank you Roger."

"Oh come on, Jack. Stay for brunch, just an hour or so, that way we can catch up."

Jack looks back at me, it seems like he wants to stay. I bite my lip, thinking of the feeling I have had all morning. I sigh, just an hour. I nod to Jack and he give me a nod of appreciation.

I get Chris to exit the car and we follow Jack into the pack house. Roger takes up to a dining hall where there are some members of his pack. I recognize a scent and look around before my eyes land on Lily.

"Lily?" She was a warrior from my pack.

She turns to me, eyes wide, "Alpha Brae? How?"

"Long story. Can I talk to you in private?" I ask.

She nods and leads me to the backyard. We sit in the grass and I give her a hug.

"I didn't think I would see any of you again," I tell her.

"I certainly didn't think I would see you again," she chuckles.

"Right. Apparently my time on earth isn't up yet, so I was brought back."

"What happened at the Moon Pack? Ace wouldn't talk about it and then he just left us."

"He what?" I shout.

"He said it was too hard for him to stay there with you gone. He packed a few things and left. We felt his pack bond break. Soon after, without Hadley here, we all went rogue. I found my mate and he happens to be from the Dark Sky Pack."

"I'm happy for you Lily. I just can't believe Ace would leave all of you. He seems to have forgotten all about me now," I mumble the last sentence.

"What do you mean? Have you seen him? None of us were able to catch a trace of him."

"I did exactly see him...in person."

"What do you mean?"

I sigh, "I'm my dream one night, I say him laying in a bed with a woman, they both seemed very close. Noctis was there too and she knew this was a vision type thing of Ace at that moment in time."

"Sorry Alpha Brae..."

I cut her off, "I'm not an alpha anymore Lil, Brae is just fine."

"Right, Brae. I'm sorry about your mate...s," she says quietly.

"Thanks."

"We should get back inside, I don't know about you but I am starving," Lily rubs her stomach and I chuckle.

We walk back inside and sit down with the others to eat some delicious food. Beats all the prepackaged store bought crap I have been eating.
