Brae's POV

Zane and I run out to the field, after grabbing some weapons, where the war has already started. There are wolves and vamps fighting and some are already dead. I jump right into the fight, taking down a vamp who was about to kill a brown pack wolf.

I notice there are many rogues here as well, I guess my theory was correct. They have teamed up for the war. We should have tried to team up with the witches even though I am pretty sure they would have denied us. Witches like to stay out of affairs that don't directly affect them. We are on our own.

I look around to see how everyone of doing. It looks like we have had minimal fatalities. A wolf rams into my side causing me to tumble and he bites down on my neck. I fake die under him by slowing my heart rate and breathing. He stands over me, looking triumphant. That is until I take out a knife from my bad pocket and stab him through the skull. I get up and continue looking for the leader of the Sundusk coven.

My eyes land on one vampire I want to kill so badly. Larry. I smirk to myself and run up to him, he is just inside the trees.

"Larry! Long time no see," I give him a sarcastic smile.

"My name isn't Larry," he growls.

"Doesn't matter now does it?"

"Time for your to finally die," Larry smirks.

"I do know one of us won't make it, but I don't think the odds are in your favour."

He attacks me and I let him. He smashes my head against a tree with a hand around my neck. He squeezes my throat as hard as he can, but I can still breath just fine.

"Is that all you've got?" I chuckle and this makes him angry.

He takes out a knife and I can tell my the scent it is silver covered in wolfsbane. I roll my eyes and he plunges the knife in my skull.

"Come on Larry, now I am going to have a headache," I pout and pull out the knife. I plunge it in his head, "How do you like it?"

He grunts, silver and wolfsbane doesn't have much of an affect on vampires, but it still hurts.  He pulls out the knife and cuts my throat open which heals quickly. I can see the frustration building in him.

"I already told you that you won't kill me," I say in a matter-of-a-fact tone.

"You have to be able to die, how have you not died yet?" He whispers the last part.

"The Moon Goddess has another plans for me I guess. For you; however, I think you have a very different fate," I smirk as I grab a branch from the ground, "Goodbye Larry."

I grab his shoulder and drive the stick through his heart. I see the little life trickle out of his eyes and I let him fall to the ground. I snap my fingers and his body goes up in flames. I am not taking any chances when it comes to Larry. Time to find Raven.

I walk back to the battle field and scan it one more time. No, not here. I turn around and listen carefully. I listen for any movement or other fighting spots. That's when I hear the energy of a force field. The same energy from the coven.

I walk into the force field and I am standing in front of Raven, "Nice to see you again. What do you want?"

"Brae, nice to see you again. I am here to tell you that your time is coming to a close. I know you will die soon and make the right choice."

"I am not going to die, I am going to kill you though," I state.

"Albert!" Raven shouts and no one is seen, "Albert, get your ass in here!"

"Who's Albert?"

"Albert!" Raven yells again, annoyance laces his voice. "What did you do to him?"

"Me? I don't even know who you are talking about."

"Albert, the one who was trying to find out how to kill you," Raven snarls.

"Oh! Larry! Yeah, he won't be coming anytime soon," I reply. "That bastards names was Albert? That's worse than Larry," I laugh.

"What did you do?" He sternly asks.

"I killed him," I shrug.

"You bitch," Raven loses his temper and grabs my throat.

"Language you fucking asshole, geez. You know, Larry already tried this. Don't waste your energy."

"You are going to die, even if I have to die. I will die knowing that you will not be in this earth much longer."

"Then I will die knowing you will no longer hurt anyone else," I tell him before gripping my own hand around his throat.

You can choke a bloodsucker; however, it won't kill them. It just causes them severe discomfort. His grip loosens on my neck and grabs my hand as he tries to pry away my hand that is wrapped around his throat. I feel pressure in my chest and look down to see his hand wrapped around my heart.

"Do you really think Larry never tried that?"

"Why won't you just die? What is your weakness?"

"Come on Raven, I know better than to tell you that. Don't worry though, I will be gone soon, but jot before I kill you," once I finish that sentence I shove my hand into his chest and grab his heart. "See you in hell," I smirk.

I rip his non beating heart out of his cold body. He falls to the ground with a mischievous grin, knowing what I said was the truth. The force field comes down from around us and I make my way back to the main fight knowing the two most dangerous vamps are dead.

When I arrive I see a horrible sight. The rogues and vampires have outnumbered the pack members and have them all pinned down to their mercy, waiting for further instructions.

"Hey!" I shout at them.

"Where is Albert and Cassius?" A vamp asks.

"Dead," I reply in a monotone voice.

"As third in command, I order you all to kill!" The man yells to the crowd and everyone gets their kill shot prepared.

The whole scene unfolding in front of me is happening in slow motion. My mind racks for a way to take out all of them in the next two seconds single handily. I see Zane looking in my direction and I know that I have to save him, not matter the cost of my life.

I bring forward the heat in me and I spread it throughout my body. The fire spreads over every inch of me until it is pressuring me to let it go. I build up the heat as much as I can until I know it will be enough. I focus on the enemy and I can hear Zane shouting at me to stop as he is the only who knows what is going on and what will happened. I release the heat and the bloodsuckers as well as the rogue go up in flames and turn to ash. I collapse to the ground, struggling to keep my eyes open as I see Zane show up in my line of sight saying something that I can't hear.

He looks at me right in the eye before I feel myself being dragged into the darkness. I can't believe this is happening to me again. This time, I don't want to go. I want to stay and live.

I want to stay with my second chance mate.
