CHAPTER 2.
•••sheyaa was weaker and weaker by the second. i could tell. he couldn't hold himself up anymore.
he was coughing up blood and turning pale inside his body. it's not bright red anymore.
i banged on the door of my best friend house, hoping he's home. i kept banging and banging, for sheyaa's sake.
"what the fuck is this- leland?" symere appeared at the house, fixing his hair.
he wore a white plaid shirt with a blue skirt, slides to top it off.
"help." he let us in the house, sheyaa dropping out my hands.
"who's this?" symere asked.
"long story short but he's a demon. he needs some souls and i know you like that satanic shit." i rubbed his head, hushing him as he made moaning sounds. i touched his dreads, trying to calm him down. he's so weak.
"jordan! bring the satanic book down here!" symere said.
•••
"i have so many questions for you it doesn't even make any sense..." symere was fluctuated with the demon, laying his stomach and legs kicking up in the air.
sheyaa cracked his bones again, nodding at his response. he turned to leland who was very quiet for his taste.
leland played with the bracelet sheyaa made out of silk yesterday night for him, engraving his name in.
"leland you okay?"
leland only just nodded, giving him a smile.
"what kind of powers you have?"
"i can teleport, read people minds, shape-shift, make people go crazy, kill them with my mind...." sheyaa shrugged, "oh i can grow my horns out my head if i'm really mad. force people to do things too."
"holy fuck, can you do one right now?" symere gasped.
sheyaa shrugged, looking over to the dreaded man. jordan looked innocent as he didn't know what was going to happen.
sheyaa used his two fingers, move them to the right. he pushed jordan into the wall before sitting him down on the floor. with quickness at that. jordan was shocked, looking up with wide eyes.
symere was so amused—clapping his hands for the performance.
leland just shaked his head, standing up to be closer to sheyaa. the demon wrapped his arm around the younger, rubbing his upper arm.
"why you here for though? leland why you didn't show him sooner?"
"he was supposed to balance the good and evil for me which that failed because the angel isn't here. that's why the demon hunters after him because we killed nayvadius and the devil knows."
"what? y'all killed nayvadius????" symere had his own mouth open, only in disbelief.
"y'all didn't bring me???" he grinned so huge.
"huh???"
leland and sheyaa said at the same time, one another looking at each other. leland broke the eye contact off, blushing afterwards.
"truth to say, i didn't like nayvadius too. he fucked over miles also."
"miles? miles McCollum?" leland asked deeper.
"yeah, they fucked like last month. then nayvadius fucking ghosted him. miles called me crying about this shit."
"oh well he needed to be killed then!" sheyaa exclaimed—one huge mess.
"y'all should've tagged me along..."
"we should've do shit." leland rolled, having a taste for some chips.
suddenly, a bag of chips appeared in front of him.
"you need to stop listening to my thoughts." leland looked over to the demon.
"not my fault they gave me this gift since day one." sheyaa smirked, doing the staring contest with the younger.
"are y'all dating...?" symere moved his finger between both.
leland eyes widen, shaking his head rapidly.
"wha—no!" leland blushed.
"y'all too close with each other. besides, y'all would be cute. but he's a demon and you're human."
"wha? what about it?"
"jordan, the book." symere held his hand out again.
jordan quickly gave it back to him. symere licked his finger, going through the pages.
"see here, if you date a demon it's going not work out. therefore, the human has to sacrifice itself to be with a demon which is really rare."
"how rare?" sheyaa questioned, being intrigued.
"only 7 people did it. one person did it twice in 2004," symere answered.
"interesting to say at least," leland spoke up.
"very. there's whole lotta ways to do it though."
"ight enough with this shit, where you gonna hide at sheyaa?" leland said.
"we both gotta hide. they looking for us. we can't go back to your house." sheyaa said, shape-shifting into a cheetah. "for your safety especially. we have to hide until we get caught."
