Ryan was finally allowed to let his hair grow back and get his ribs freed from the right cast. He looked a lot more like himself now, and he was extremely glad. Dallon had to wait a few more days, but he could let his hair grow soon too.

Dallon also-after much begging-got his parents to press charges on Pete. Speaking of parents, Ryan's father hadn't been home in days. He was starting to get worried, but he hoped he would be back soon. As much as his father hated him, Ryan still loved him. On the bright side, he could hang out with Dallon more and not feel so suffocated in his own home.

Things were seeming to go uphill.

!¡!¡!¡!¡

Ryan was planning to ask Dallon to be his boyfriend. He was nervous as fuck, anything could go wrong. Ryan just hoped to whatever God that was up there that this would go well.

He had to ask Dallon in school, since it's the only place he would be available for that day. It'd be fine though, hopefully.

At lunch him and Dallon were in the hallway. Dallon was rambling about random things while Ryan got the three flowers hidden in his locker.

"They could've broken the arm I don't write with but nooo they just have to take away my perfect A's in ELA"

Dallon finally turned to face Ryan. Ryan's hand was stuck frozen in his locker. "You good?" He asked, trying to look at what Ryan was doing. Ryan quickly took his hand out and slammed the locker shut. "Yeah, let's just go to class" he said, wheeling away. Dallon had no time to process Ryan's panic, but he didn't mention it as he ran to catch up with him. He knew Ryan was acting off lately but he'd ask after school the next day when Ryan wasn't so pressured in front of other people.

Hopefully Ryan was ok.
