The sun rose again in the Carat Kingdom and prompted everyone to awaken from their slumber. Somehow, Joshua was the first one to open his eyes in Seungcheol's room. He carefully peeled off the arms and legs of his two soulmates and went to shower.
A few minutes later, Jeonghan's sleep was disturbed by the sound of dripping water. Noticing that Joshua was not on the bed, he maneuvered himself so that he will lean on the headboard. His movements caused Seungcheol to stir into consciousness.
"Why are you already awake? Have some more sleep," Seungcheol sleepily mumbled.
"Seriously, I always thought you, as Crown Prince, wake up early every morning, but every time Joshie and I are here, you always oversleep," Jeonghan bluntly told his half-awake Seungcheol.
"Can you even blame me? I just want to spend more time with my soulmates. Is that a great sin to commit?" Seungcheol nuzzled his face closer to Jeonghan's hip.
"Since I find your explanation cute, I'll give you a pass this time," Jeonghan stated while playing with Seungcheol hair.
"Where's our Shua?" Seungcheol's question was muffled by Jeonghan's hip.
"Well, our adorable maknae left us in bed and decided to take a shower by himself," Jeonghan revealed. "Should we really punish him this time?"
"Yeah. Let's have him for breakfast," Seungcheol said. Jeonghan agreed.
It took nearly ten minutes before Joshua finished showering. When he exited the bathroom, he saw both of his soulmates staring at him – Jeonghan leaning on the headboard, Seungcheol's head on Jeonghan's lap.
"Morning, Cheol! Morning Han!" Joshua cheerfully greeted.
"Shua, come here," Seungcheol firmly told him, patting the empty area in front of Jeonghan as a gesture on where he was supposed to sit.
"Why? What is it?" Joshua obediently sat on the spot where Seungcheol wanted. He was surprised when Seungcheol and Jeonghan both put their heads on each of his shoulder.
"Why did you leave us in bed? We could have showered together," Jeonghan whined.
"And how could you leave the bathroom while wearing only this bathrobe?" Seungcheol sniffed Joshua's neck. "Are you, perhaps, tempting us, Shua?"
"Here you go again. Making it seem like it's my fault where in fact, the two of you just want some of my blood," Joshua sighed.
"So... can we?" Jeonghan asked rhetorically.
"Do I have a choice? The answer is obvious, isn't it?" Joshua gladly hinted.
Armed with Joshua's permission, the two gladly bit Joshua for his red liquid for a couple of seconds before retracting. But there was no denying Joshua still felt extreme pleasure while being drained.
"If the two of you are done, allow me to change into some decent clothes," Joshua kissed both of their temples before heading into the walk-in closet.
When Joshua left, Seungcheol and Jeonghan somehow decided to suck blood out of each other before actually peeling themselves off the bed.
In no time, the triad was in the dining area. The King, Chan, Vernon, Seungkwan and Seokmin were already there. Meanwhile, the rest arrived a few moments later with Jihoon, Minghao, and quite unexpectedly Wonwoo, limping along.
Everyone was having a calm breakfast when five groups of people teleported in. It was the Royal Defense Force along with the Mystics and the Dreamies.
"Why is everyone here?" the King asked, slightly irritated.
"Forgive the intrusion, your highness, but it is an emergency," Minhyun stated. "I had a premonition of Zirconia Village, which is near the borders of a Moissanite settlement, being attacked by Barbarians."
"Any news there?" the King realized the urgency.
"So far, everything is still fine in that village," Namjoon reported.
"If that is the case, I, along with the Royal Defense Force and the Mystics, will be staking out in Zirconia Village to prevent any disaster from happening," the King mentioned.
"But why are the Dreamies here?" Seungcheol inquired.
"Well, since I already foreseen the King's decision to have everyone in Zirconia Village, the Royal Defense Force will reassign the Dreamies as your personal guards again," Minhyun revealed.
"And don't worry. After their very satisfactory performance during your trip to Hall University, Donghyuck and Chenle were transformed by Mark and Park Jisung, respectively, to an Archetype," Junmyeon elaborated.
"Furthermore, using my powers of Projection, I decided to take awaytheir previous powers and permanently replace them with something flashier," Daniel blurted out. "If I remember correctly, Park Jisung has Shielding, Chenle has Aeroportation, Jaemin has Cyrokinesis, Donghyuck has Augmentation, Jeno has Hydrokinesis, and Mark has Geokinesis. Meanwhile, I gave Renjun Phyllokinesis so that Mingyu would have a training partner of sorts."
"And to further ease your worries, we are also secretly training them. They might not be as skilled as you guys yet, but they can seriously kick some Barbarian butts now," Sungwoon reassured.
"Before we go, WANNABLE squad, I need you to inform the media about this decree," the King's tone was authoritative. "Raise the emergency alert for Barbarians. Make it the same level as during a Blood Moon. Also announce that I will be suspending all classes until all threats are dealt with."
"Roger that!" the entire WANNABLE squad responded.
"Dreamies! We leave the Princes and their soulmates in your hands again," Baekhyun exclaimed before the King, the Royal Defense Force and the Mystics teleport out of the palace.
"So, congratulations on having your powers upgraded!" Seungcheol told the Dreamies. "And from the looks of things, ARMY, ERI and WANNABLE have finally found one worthy successor as Royal Defense Force."
"The facts haven't sunk in completely yet for me," Donghyuck clutched his face.
"But Mark-hyung has," Chenle spilled the tea.
"Shut up. Stop talking like Jisung hasn't done it too," Donghyuck spat back.
"Okay. Okay. Let's leave the arguments for later," Renjun calmed his friends down. "At least you were not 'raped'."
"HEY!" Jeno and Jaemin reacted.
"So, I guess we should be leaving now. Hyungs, please contact us if something happens," Mark, their official leader, prompted. "You do have our contacts, right?"
"Yeah. You gave it to us on the day of the Hall U field trip," Jeonghan confirmed. "And don't worry. Due to the circumstances, I will personally make a chat group consisting the thirteen of us and the seven of you for easy communication."
"Thanks hyung, or should I say, your majesty now?" Renjun joked.
"Just hyung please. Thank you," Jeonghan replied playfully.
With that, the Dreamies left in swirling bright green clouds. The palace was now left with twelve Paragons, one soon-to-be Paragon and the palace helpers.
"I guess all you should stay here for a time being," Seungcheol told the soulmates. "We can't afford you leaving our sides especially with the imminent danger lurking."
"How about our parents?" Minghao was worried.
"They'll be fine," Jun reassured. "We will also personally explain the situation to them so don't worry."
After the soulmates agreed to Seungcheol's suggestion, the Princes themselves personally video-called their soulmates' parents to tell them what was going on. Thankfully, all parents approved, knowing that it would be better for their sons to be with their soulmates in times like this.
