It had been two weeks since both Jihoon and Jeonghan fully turned into a Paragon. Chan was improving on his tasks of keeping the cans afloat while also doing other training activities that Luhan and Jisung provided him. By now, Chan can control the strength output of his Telekinesis and effortlessly move objects around. Jihoon and Jeonghan were doing well with their trainings as you might had expected from the brains of the group. Xiumin had started teaching Jihoon how to use Cryokinesis offensively and defensively while Jeonghan was now trying to master the Augmentation of select persons in a wide area through the help of the entire WANNABLE team as well as controlling his Deflection at will.
On the other hand, Joshua, Mingyu, Minghao and Seungkwan were still waiting for their powers to knock their socks off. Mingyu was whining about it over dinner at the palace.
"How come they already have their powers? I feel envious already," Mingyu mumbled.
"We can't help it, Gyu. The transformation process was faster for them as they were already Hybrids. Fully transforming from human to vampire takes a lot of time. Just think of yourselves as half-way there," Wonwoo wheedled his sulking soulmate.
"There, there, child. How about we go to the beach tomorrow to chase those blues away? It's a weekend after all," the King tried to cheer Mingyu up.
"Isn't it winter already? Won't it be cold out on the beach?" Mingyu wondered.
"Don't worry. I'll have JR of the Mystics take care of it," the King simply answered. "So, are you up for it?"
"Deal!" Mingyu agreed faster than the speed of light.
"Ok. Ok," the King chuckled at the puppy's enthusiasm. "Why don't you invite your parents and siblings too? Let's make it a family affair."
"That's a great idea," Seungkwan blurted out.
"Oh, I don't know. My parents usually don't like leisurely stuff because of the preparation hassles," Joshua muttered.
"Tell them I'll take care of everything – the food, the ride, the place and even the weather and temperature. All they need to bring is themselves."
"Please, Shua. Invite mom and dad for tomorrow," Seungcheol pleaded cutely. Everyone gasped, including the King. It was such a rare occasion to see Seungcheol act cute in broad daylight.
"Fine. Fine. I'll tell them it's the King's orders," Joshua smiled.
The soulmates went back to their respective homes, bringing good news to their parents.
"Why are you such a good mood? Anything happened at school today?" Jeonghan's mother asked him.
"Well, the usual. Seungcheol and Joshua were handsome as ever but nothing much at school," Jeonghan said. "We all went to the palace though and Mingyu sulked as to why he hasn't had his powers yet. So, to cheer him up, the King invited us to a beach holiday tomorrow — and by us, I mean the Paragon's soulmates and our respective families."
"He invited all of the families to the beach tomorrow?"
"Yes, and he even said to worry about nothing. He will take care of everything. Your presence is highly anticipated though," Jeonghan mentioned.
"And who are we to say no to that?" Jeonghan's parents stated.
"Mom, dad, the king is inviting the two of you for a beach holiday tomorrow," Jihoon told his parents.
"How about you? Are you not invited?" his mother giggled.
Jihoon deadpanned, "Of course, I am. The only reason you were invited is because I am his handsome son's soulmate."
