Chapter 11|Like you

College life is supposed to be full of parties and cute boys . Grabbing skin and tugging lips. Movies, dates and drama . Handsome boys fighting for you and jealous bitches who want to rip of your head . College is supposed to have boring lectures and hard work .Sleepless nights two days towards your exam and very hard tests . At least this is what I thought until now. No cute boys , no movies or dates, no handsome fighters for me . No skinny bitches who wish for my death . Its totally the opposite of what I expected . I was very happy last month when Mrs Clark's told us that the project has shifted is now needed end of this year . Boy wasn't I happy . Sometimes I have second  thoughts of my life , what if I just drop college life and do best with my talent.  At least I've got two people who support me on this one Sarah and Nathan . They  like family now . Jack and I are like strangers now , he moved back 2 weeks ago , I ignore him like a plague and I just want to concentrate with my life nothing more nothing less

"So have you made up your mind ."

"What do you mean made up my mind ."

Nate rolls his eyes obviously annoyed that I'm playing hide and seek with him and I  sigh

"Nate what if I suck at the job , what if  I'm not ready . "

" Vanessa , I'm not pushing you into anything and I know your ready , its okay to accept that your a nerd and love working your ass off ." he smiles

I roll my eyes but decide to let it go on the nerd part

"Thanks but I'll think about it ." I smile back

" So when are you and Jack going to talk again?" I look at him wide eyed

"How did....."I'm cut off

" Yes I know , girl."he rolls his eyes " when you guys are in the same room I can cut the tension hanging around with a knife " he takes a huge bite of his burger

"I don't know Nate , his a jerk ."

"His not a jerk you are " that earns him a glare

"What , its the truth , you not even giving him a chance to talk ." he points out

"Shut up, you dont even know half of the things that happened for us to be where we are today ." I growl at him

He snorts

"Like what , he took your first kiss , took a good look at your vagina and ate it out ." he states calmly while on the other hand I've frozen " dont worry he didn't tell me , I just know .Look Vanessa , I take it intimacy is a big deal to you , so is it to him , Jack is all bubbly and cute but he also has a rough background and demons his fighting right now , I'm not giving him excuses and his such a dick for making you cry but here him out okay. He wouldn't be sulking and so grumpy these days if he didn't care about you , he has a big heart deep down ."

Silence is the answer he gets from me

30 seconds

A minute later

"Why did you kiss me last Friday " I look him dead in the eye

"We both needed that ."

" What does that even mean Nate ."

"It means we both have feelings for each other which we aren't addressing "

"Your weird ." I whisper and he chuckles

" I know sweetheart but I do what's best for you ."

"Why? " for the first time in my life he gets serious and frowns a little , you can see his debating whatever in that head of his ."that bad " I try to lighten the mood
