"Class, please turn to page 178 of your math textbooks." Mrs. Smith said, as she wrote on the chalkboard.

Mrs. Smith was an old lady with white hair and a bun. She wore glasses which made her look like a huge eyed frog.

Sarah groaned. She hated math, it was one of her not-so-good subjects. She looked at her friend, Ella, who was sitting in a desk beside her focusing on the math topic

"Psst, Ella!" Sarah said in a whisper.

Ella looked at her and rolled her eyes, "What?! I'm trying to do these equations." she whispered.

"Can we write a story?"

"Why NOW? I'm finishing my EQUATION! Oh, and by the way if you don't know the answer to problem thirteen, it's x=19."

Sarah sighed, "Please? Come on!"

"Fine, I guess." Ella said, and set her pencil down. She rummaged through her desk and got out a composition notebook, and flipped to a page.

She picked up her pencil and wrote...

Ella picked up her wand and cast a spell at the goblin blocking the door. She knocked the goblin out.

Ella passed the notebook to Sarah, and she began to write.

Sarah hurried through the door and flung it open. Bright white light shone through her eyes.

"COME ON! We need to defeat the monster." She shouted to Ella.

Sarah gave the notebook to Ella, who was now doing problem twenty.

"Class dismissed, please clean up your desk. Have a nice spring break kids." Mrs. Smith croaked.

Most of the students were chatting on what they were doing for the break.

"Hey, want to come to the forest with me to study for our test after spring break?" Ella asked, as she put the composition notebook into her cat backpack.

"Alright. Wait- you mean like right now?" Sarah said.

Ella shrugged, "I mean, yes. Remember that your parents are busy and my parents are too?"

"Oh, yes. I'll bring some snacks for us." Sarah said, and smiled, "Want some homemade chocolate chip cookies?"

Ella laughed, "Of course! I love your recipe!"

They both said goodbye to Mrs. Smith, (which was now cleaning the chalkboard) and hurried out the school doors.

"Ahh, finally spring break. A time where I can RELAX!" Sarah sighed happily.

"Not so fast, we have our exams in a month and a test right after spring break!"

Sarah rolled her eyes and checked her pink backpack to grab her tiny cellphone.

"Woah! You got a phone?!" Ella gaped.

"Well, yes, but it's not like those ones the older kids have. It's the iphone2."

Ella chuckled, "It's still cool! I still have an old iphone1"

Sarah texted her mom.

Hey mom, I'm going to be with Ella today. Love you!

Alright, love you too sweetie! Dinner is in the fridge. It's TV                                                                       dinner!

"Come on! Let's go to my house first." Sarah said, as she put her phone into her backpack.

They both hurried to Sarah's house, which wasn't that far from the school. All they had to do was cross a few streets.

Finally, they got there. Sarah's house was covered in brown paint, and was quite small but cozy. Sarah unlocked the front door and they got inside.
