Chapter 18

Pansy and I were walking down to the quidditch field when we came across Fred and George collecting bets for the match,
'Matilda!' they both said in unison.
'Fred, George!' I said.
'So far which team has the most bets?' I laughed.
'Slytherin,' Fred said.
'it's pretty obvious, the Hufflepuffs aren't that good' George whispered slightly.
I giggled a bit, 'all right, see you later.' I smiled before Pansy and I carried on up to the stands.
'How are you so nice to everyone?' Pansy asked looking to the side at me, 'does anyone annoy you?'
I laughed slightly, 'I don't know, I mean I didn't have such close friends for the longest time and just felt miserable so I sort of hope no one else is going through that and if they are I can make it slightly better with small things,' I shrugged. She wrapped her arm over my shoulders and squeezed me slightly.

We carried on walking and then I felt someone run up behind me and slip their arms around my waist, at the same time Pansy and I turned around and saw Draco and Blaise.
Pansy and Blaise got into their own conversation while Draco said to me, 'hey I have a surprise for you, turn around.'
'What-' I started
'Just turn around you'll see,' he smiled.
I did as I was told and turned around, just then he placed a thin golden necklace around my neck and clipped it together at the back.
I looked down at it and it had a little circle charm with D + M engraved on it.
'I wasn't sure if you were going to like it so if-' he began.
I quickly turned around gave him a kiss on the cheek, 'I love it,' I smiled at him, his face lit up.
Just then Blaise said, 'come on we have to go we have 3 minutes till it starts.'
I gave Draco one last kiss before him and Blaise walked down to their teams.
'Good Luck!' Pansy and I called after them.

Once we sat down I looked around and to my surprise I saw Hugo sat with a bunch of other Slytherin boys in our year.
I looked back at the pitch when all of a sudden the Slytherin team flew out and up into the air. I immediately spotted my favourite platinum blonde haired boy swooping past the crowd going extremely fast.

Pansy and I cheered along with the crowd and then the Hufflepuff team came out, the other side of the crowd began cheering and even louder than we did.

The match went on for around an hour and in the end we won, the Hufflepuffs weren't even close. The crowd erupted into cheers. It was getting dark and suddenly started raining a lot so everyone rushed inside. Draco was at the back of the whole crowd so I quickly ran over to him, grabbed his hand and gave him a kiss, I tried pulling him forwards so we could get inside but he stopped and pulled me back and I turned straight into his arms.
