GREYSON:

I can hear her mom freaking out on the other end of the phone. Nora pauses for awhile and then answers her..

"No, uh I'm okay...I stubbed my toe on the door. Don't laugh! Yeahh. I love you too mom. Good night." Then I hear the door slam and I let out a sigh. Maybe she didn't see me. She's safe.

The next thing I know she's outside with a baseball bat and she running over to me. The rouges notice her and head towards her.

With the two still attached to me I slowly make my way to her. For a second my heart drops because I know they all headed her way, she's human, she's gonna die. I catch up with the rouges to see them circling around her.

Shit!

I move through them and stand in front of her, my back to her and I'm growling at the rouges. I can hear her heart beating fast and I can smell her fear but the scent of confusion is stronger.

Three of them charge at me and before I can even react they are on me. I'm biting into one while the other two are attacking me. But suddenly they're gone. I hear whimpers and growls. Once I know the other rouge is dead I turn around to see Nora hitting one of them with the bat. There are two unconscious already by her, they aren't dead by they are knocked out.

I attack one coming up behind her right before it bites into her.  We struggle until it's limp in my mouth.

I drop it and turn around to come face to face with the bat.

Nora is standing there staring at me with cold eyes holding the bat at me, like a warning to not come near her or she'll hit me.

I let out a whisper and bow my head. I hope she knows that I'm not a threat. Next thing I know she's shrieking.

I turn to see the body of the wolf I killed earlier, shifted back into human form. Oh goddess, shit! I think to myself.

Okay. How do I calm her down? I go over ideas but they all involve me shifting and I don't want to scare her anymore.

So I walk up to her from behind, slowly, and run my head on her hip. She jumps slightly but doesn't scream, doesn't run, she doesn't smell of fear either. She smells like sadness and confusion, but weirdly she smells like calmness.

I nuzzle into her more and she lets out a breath. I push into her again and she raises her hand and pets me.

Yes this would be awkward if anyone else did this because I am NOT a dog, but this is Nora. This is my mate. It calms me down.

Then she speaks, she says something I didn't expect to hear, "oh you poor thing, you're hurt" she checks me over and moves around me, careful not to touch me. "You come here, follow me...wait can you even understand me? Oh my god I'm talking to a wolf like it can understand me. Jesus Nor you're going insane. Ummm, come? No that won't work because you're not a dog. Damn! What do I do?" She continues to talk to herself and I can't help but let a wolfy grin show. She's so cute!

She stops talking and looks at me. "No. Wait. Are you actually smiling?? How the hell?? Can you understand me?" She asks the last part in a whisper.

I nod my head up and down to indicate that I can and she mumbles to herself that she's turned into sleeping beauty and can talk to animals.

"Oh my god. They turned into people. But I saw them, they were big ass dog things. How..?? That's not possible! No. I'm just going insane. Right? Mr. Fluffy Wolf, you think I'm crazy right? Yeah, you probably do." She's saying all of this while pacing in a circle. I walk up to her and push into her side again. She lets out a little whimper.
