Chapter 3 "uh,I-,um,Sorry!"

Hailey's P.O.V
We sang Rewrite the stars just like a true person in love would but we're aren't in love! ... Right?
We tried avoiding each other as much as we could. Band practice was a little awkward. He would always sneak glancing at me. I didn't say anything though. The worst part about avoiding each other? We were partners for chemistry! Which meant we had to work together.
"Ok, Jake we'll do our part's at my house. Is that ok? We'll be alone for an hour or so and we can work on our project without any interruptions."
"Oh, ok."
                ~ At her house~
Jake's P.O.V
"Jake. We-" She sighs. "We need to talk..." She trailed off but I knew what she was talking about.
"I agree. So what was that? I don't know what it was, do you?" I asked.
"No I don't. That's the problem, we need to have a healthy friendship if we want to win the band competition. I don't want either of us... breaking our relationship and ruining the competition. I like you're company and I appreciate our friendship. But I don't know what to do now."
"Yeah. What now?" I ask looking into her eyes for answers and hers looking into mine for the same thing.
She sighs.
"Well, let's start the project we can finish this conversation later."
"Ok."
~2 hours later 5 pm~
"Well we finally finished."
"Yeah. Ok so the conversation we had earlier?" She said bringing it up again.
"I-I'm not sure."
"Ok, well I think we should leave it alone or explore what we have. We can both see that there's something there. But what? Is the question we have and we need the answers to this question."
I stare at her stunned. Confused on what she was saying. Well I wasn't "confused". But I was surprised that she got all of that just by working with me for only 2 hours. I finally decided what to say covering my shock.
"Well do you want to explore what we have? I know I do. But if you don't we can leave it alone. I care about you Hailey and I want tou to be comfortable."
"Let's wait a few days then if we know there's something there we'll explore." She replied.
"That's fair I don't want to rush it." In my head "it" meant us. 
"Well bye."
"Bye, see you tomorrow."
I left.
Hailey's P.O.V
I was surprised he wanted to explore. I just want to see if there really is something there. Now I'm certain there is. Or atleast will be. I decided to sing to get everything off my mind.

Jake's P.O.V
I decided to sing to calm myself down.
