Promises

It was the morning after the dance,Chloe and Rachel had stayed the night at Rachel's house. Chloe was still asleep when Rachel woke up which made her smile. "I'll let you rest a while," she said to herself as she got up. "Let's hope last night helped her," she thought to herself as she got changed into jeans and a white t-shirt. Meanwhile Chloe woke up in what seemed to be a classroom of Blackwell. "Where am I?" she asked herself as she tried to move,but couldn't. "Damn Chloe what's the matter?" Rachel said stepping out of the shadow. "Rachel? What is this?" Chloe asked shaking her head. Rachel smirked sitting on Chloe's lap "Don't speak," she said putting her finger across Chloe's lips. Chloe remained silent looking Rachel in her eyes,which weren't the same they changed. "You know Chloe I should've let you kill us that day in the truck," Rachel said leaning in. "Rachel this isn't funny," Chloe said as Rachel put her hand on the side of her face. "Wake up," Rachel whispered causing Chloe to jump up in the bed. Sweat poured down her face as she panted a bit. "Rachel," she called out only to see no one in the room. "Fuck," she said to herself as she laid her head down. "Why does this shit happen to me?" she asked herself when Rachel opened the door. "Hey glad to see you're awake," Rachel said walking over to the bed. "Hey you alright?" she asked noticing Chloe sweating a bit. Chloe nodded "Sorry just a exciting dream," she said shaking her head a bit. "I hope I was there," Rachel said causing Chloe to sigh. "Alright well I hope I wasn't there then," she said as Chloe stood up shaking her head. "Hey I think I'm gonna head home," Chloe said picking up her keys from Rachel's desk. "Oh umm ok," Rachel said as she looked down knowing what happened in Chloe's dream was bad. "Chloe I had a really great time last night," Rachel said looking up at her with a smile. Chloe smiled a bit as well "Me too," she said as she got dressed in normal clothes. "Alright well I'll come by to check in on you later," Rachel said as she hugged Chloe closely. Chloe hugged back a bit smiling. "Alright well I should let you get going," Rachel said breaking the hug. Chloe just nodded grabbing her bag as she walked towards the door. "Hey princess I'll see you later," she said causing Rachel to blush heavily watching Chloe exit the room. Rachel sighed a bit in relief as Chloe exited the room. Quickly she picked up her phone and texted Stephanie asking about some school project. It was Sunday,so Rachel only had this one day to get to work again. Chloe sighed as she entered the truck shaking her head. "All right let's get outta here," she said to herself as she begin to drive off. "I'm surprised Rachel let me have the keys," she thought to herself as she drove. Yesterday was one of the best days of her life,and she wanted to have that feeling of happiness once again. "I promise myself I'll have that feeling again," she thought to herself as she turned up the radio,and begin picking up speed. Maintaining a safe and legal speed all the way home she finally made it back. A immediate sigh followed seeing David in the garage working on something. "Please don't say anything," she said to herself as she exited the truck. "Hey Chloe come here for a second," he said almost immediately as she exited the truck. Slowly she walked over to him with a sigh "What?" she asked in a sarcastic tone. "I wanted to apologize for what I said to you," he said shocking Chloe a bit. "Oh um it's cool," she said walking off from her stepfather. "I see mom got a hold of him," she thought to herself smirking as she entered the house. "Mom are you home?" she called out to hear no response. Chloe just shrugged while heading upstairs. Rachel was working on building a project with a bit of a sigh. "Fuck," she said to herself slamming her first down in the desk. She checked her phone to see a text from Chloe that said she made it home safely. Rachel laid her head down with a sigh. "Life hasn't been so easy for me. I'm sure Chloe wouldn't mind if I focused on me for a bit," she thought to herself sitting up.
