{Shane's Pov}
{Hours before graduation}

We crammed the last of both our stuff In the big U-Haul truck attachment.

I wiped my forehead as Joey laid down on the grass, sprawled out.

Shane: What are you doing, pretending to be tired? You brought in the blankets and towels.

Joey glanced at me and flipped me off, and I laid beside him on the grass.

Joey: We got somewhere to be, don't we?

I shook my head.

Shane: Graduation isn't for a couple hours, what do you want to do until then?

Joey laughed.

Joey: I scheduled us a 'Hairs & Nails' appointment.

I groaned.

Shane: I'm gay Joey, but I'm not that gay.

Joey rolled his eyes.

Joey: And I got us separate booths too.

Shane: Why?

Joey: I don't want you to see me until graduation.

I rolled my eyes this time.

Shane: We're not getting married, Joey.

Joey pretended to gasp and look at me.

Joey: Is this your cruel way of telling me the engagement is off?

Joey said loudly and dramatically, pretending to look sad.

Even him pretending I couldn't take it, because he made my heart soft.

Shane: No no no no no...

I said holding his hands in mine.

Shane: I mean just not right now.

Joey laughed at me.

Joey: I know you goof ball.

He said, taking his hands back.

I crossed my arms.

Shane: I know you knew I just...

Joey: You're strange. Get in the truck. I've already paid for it. I have your keys. You still can't see me until graduation. I love you.

We got in the truck and settled into our seat, buckling our seat belts.

Shane: I know. Okay. Thank you. Hand them to me. Fine.I love you too.

Joey handed me my keys and gave me a kiss on the cheek as I started the old truck.

When we arrived at the salon thingy, Meghan was outside the door on her phone, waiting for us. She looked up at us and smiled.

Joey: She's taking me to graduation so you don't get to see me.

Joey answered the unasked question as we got out of the truck.

Meghan: You guys hauling that thing around everywhere?

She asked, referring to the Uhaul attachment.

Shane: Yep, basically.

We walked into the salon and gave them our names. They showed Joey, Meghan, and I to a small room in the back.

Shane: Um, I'm sorry, Joey want a different room to get his nails done.

The salon person tilted his head and laughed when she realized something I didn't.

Joey: This isn't a room for getting your nails done, Shane.

I looked back at him and Meghan, who were holding back laughter.

Shane: I swear to god if you're trying to kill me the police will find you...

They bursts into laughter when I said that.

Salon person: Oh honey, we aren't killing you. We are getting your eyebrows waxed. Now lay down...

Joey and Meghan laughed harder when they saw the look on my ace.

Shane: What? Fuck no! Joey!

Joey: It's okay Shane...

Shane: No! That's gonna hurt!

Joey: I get my chest done all the time, it's okay.

Joey helped me onto the small table and held my hand.

Shane: Joey I don't wanna do this I'm not ready.

I said as the man put warm wax on the section between my eyebrows, the tops of my eyebrows, and the curve of them.

Joey snorted when he laughed.

Joey: It'll be okay. I'll help you. I know it's your first time...

I glared at him and he held back a laugh as the man put a thin strips on all of the wax.

Salon guy: Okay on three I'm pulling it off...

I held Joeys hand tighter.

Salon guy: 1...2....

He ripped off the first strip and I muffled a small scream.

Shane: You didn't count to three!

Salon guy: That's the point.

I shot a look at Joey and he giggled, Meghan adding small comments like 'Dont be a wuss' and 'It's okay Shane' in the background every now and then.

It took an hour, but Joey and I both finally got all our stuff done for the graduation, and I looked amazing, I must say.

And I'm wearing just a little bit of concealer and foundation. Yikes. I'm gay.

Joey drove to Meghan's house to get ready and I drove back to my place.

The last thing left in my room was a couple of posters, an old T.V, and my suit, shoes, and green throw over thing that all the kids would be wearing, alon with its silly hat.

I didn't put the green thing on yet, just carried it with me. But I got dressed the rest of the way, and for once in a long while I felt like I looked good enough to go out in public.

Joey texted me saying he was on his way there, too.

My parents took a lot of pictures, and we drove crowdedly in my truck to the big city hall ballroom where it was being held.
