{Shane's Pov}
I stood outside the big ballroom, with almost the whole group, besides Joey and Meghan, who were still on their way.
Besides Stacy, of course.
But never mind that, I shouldn't let my thoughts trail so much.
Soon i watched as Meghan's black van pulled into a parking spot, as I watched Joey and her get out of the car.
Mostly Joey, though. Because he looked stunning.
I touched my hand to my heart, because he was just so beautiful.
So so so beautiful.
His eyes were an ocean.
Fucking god.
Joey: Sometimes you think out loud, you know?
I laughed, not honestly caring if I said any of that out loud, because it was all true.
Shane: You look amazing.
I said, giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Joey smiled.
Joey: You look great too. God, I love you.
Ian: Okay! We need to get to the place so they can sort us out and you know make the first large step in our lives.
I rolled my eyes and we all went into the ballroom, where they were organizing all the students.
I watched slowly as the seats that surrounded the perimeter of the large stage became filled. I saw my parents and joeys mom.
And then all the lights went out except for a large stage light that shined on top of the large stage. One by one, names were called to come up and get their diploma.
Marcus Butler. Meghan Camerena. Luke Conard.
Shane Dawson.
I walked up on the big stage, the lights shun down on me.
The kid 'secretly' voted most likely to die from getting beat to a pulp or from too many STDs before graduation, was standing in front of hundreds of people, getting his Diploma.
The principals, vice principals, and other important staff members shook my hand and handed me the piece of paper.
All of it's gone now.
The bullies, the depression, the eating alone at lunch.
It was all going to be over with as soon as we left.
Everyone would get on with their lives and I won't even remember the names of the people who hurt me so badly.
Or maybe I will.
But it won't matter. Nothing matters anymore. Just Joey and I.
Joey Graceffa.
I watched as the love of my life happily shook hands and took his piece of paper. I stood at the end of the staircase of the stage, waiting for him. He stood at the top of the stage, his red filling up with years of joy.
'We made it.'
He mouthed, and jumped into my arms. It was like something you would see in the end of eighties movies.
We watched everyone receive their diplomas, waiting patiently in our seats.
When the last persons diploma was handed out.
Principal: Will all our 2015 graduates please stand up?
We all stood up, and we looked at eachother, side to side.
Principal: I present to you, Your class of 2015!
Hats flew into the air and landed back on top of us, but it didn't hurt or anything.
Freedom.
Joey kissed me in front of everyone, his rough hand gliding through my hair and pulling me hard, his other hand grabbing at the clothes on my back, grabbing at me.
It was something you would've seen in the movies, but better.
Joeys fiery eyes separated from me when he pulled away from the kiss.
We walked out finding our parents.
When we found them, my parents were crying and Joeys mom was smiling. His dad didn't show up at all.
Debra: Are you sure you boys have to leave right away? You can't get lunch, stay for dinner, maybe a couple years...
We all laughed.
Joey: Sorry, but California is along way away.
We all shared hugs and everything. It was nice having the feeling as if I was going to be missed.
Theresa: The house will be pretty empty without you there, Shaney.
Shane's Dad: Make sure to stop by every now and then, and call us when you get to the hotel.
When we finally made it to the truck, it felt like the beginning of a whole new story of or lives. Together.
Joey and I both changed in the truck into big T-shirts and athletic shorts.
I finally put the truck in drive, but soon enough was pulling up into an empty field that was right before you got on the highway.
Joey: Shaney, what are you-?
I cut him off after parking the car and slamming my lips into his, kissing passionately.
I pulled his shirt off and he pulled mine off.
He gripped my face in his hands, forcing our lips to barely touch.
Joey: I should've known you'd pull something like this, Dawson.
I yanked his athletic shorts down.
Joey: I know you better-
Before he could complete his sentence, I yanked down his underwear and kissed him hard again.
We were only a couple hours away from the first hotel anyways.
